Old guy Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 I'm supporting Kohli here only :dontknow: why such change of heart? :giggle:
Magneto Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 why such change of heart? :giggle: I meant that the post (you had dug out) clearly shows how Kohli had an edge over Rohit then (and the gap has just widened in the last 6 months). And I was speaking in favour of Kohli, and not Rohit :whack:
Ultimate_Game Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Please show one post where I have argued as to how effective Dinda has been in the ODIs. My only contention is your lame effort to bring back people from the grave fully knowing how much of fitness they have or how ordinary they have been in the last 2 years. In the last 2 years Nehra and Munaf were much better than Dinda has been, and will ever be based on what we saw. My point was that even the discarded folks gave us a much better chance to win than Dinda.

Kyle Mills and Stuart Broad beat the sheeeet out of Munaf Patel were great moments. We would have lost if we hadn't scored 392 in that match against NZ. Munaf is nothing great too at death. He too had as crap moments as Dinda or anyone else in end overs.
Magneto Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 read the first few lines i always believed rohit is farr too talented and better then kohli something like this :P i bumped the thread for ya bro.. enjoy :hysterical: I still believe (like everyone else) that Rohit has tailunt. But tailunt means zilch to me, if it is not backed up by performance. Even if Rohit is more tailunted than Kohli, it means nothing today since Kohli has raced far, far ahead. And Rohit may end up as a Kambli (or similar), if he doesn't get going in the international arena. In fact, India doesn't have a replacement for Laxman now - none of the options - Rohit, Tiwary, Raina or whoever look half as good. :nervous:

Please check the books once again. Munaf - was a one down bowler and he does a pretty good job with his line & length.

My main point is there to no need to go two step backward and get over-the-hill people who have been pretty ordinary off late; it will serve Indian cricket better if we give the newer guys (whoever they might be - Awana, Aaron, Yadav whoever) and groom them for the future.

Magneto Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Anyway, we have all pointlessly hijacked the legend's thread - :(( NO more off-topic discussions on this thread please :orderorder:

When you talk about those games, pls also talk about the games like WC semi final and the osi series in SA just before the WC where he was our best bowler. With Dinda you can't even think of one good moment even against the likes of Zimboks or Bangbros.
maniac Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Ok Pick your poison---Munna and Nehra-Semi-Crap bowlers and Extra Extra Crap Fielders vs Vinay,Dinda-Extra Crap bowlers and decent fielders......I would rather have Vinay and Dinda based on their fielding alone and have part-timers bowl all 50 overs. Just imagine a fielding line-up of Munna,Nehra,Zak,Sehwag,Ashwin

maniac Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 ^^ Forgot to add Gambhir to that elite fielding line-up

Munaf had one good game in WC against Pakistan where most of our bowlers bowled well. I dont defend Dinda, I know he is not good enough, but comparing one crap to another crap.
