nitinbwj Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 jahan dekho..tum apna dil le kar aa jati ho..jeezzzzz
Desi Cartman Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 ya he did the same in WC, right ? kuch bhi
daryl1985 Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 In the World Cup final i think he took a brave decision in coming up the order. However, before that i thought Dhoni was guilty of moving up the order to suit himself. In the World T20 2009 Dhoni promoted himself to number 3 against Bangladesh and Ireland before allowing Raina to come in at number 3 in the more difficult games against WI and England.
BERGKAMP Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 criticize him all you want in the test arena because frankly he has been exposed as a bit of a coward. however in odis and t20s he can do what ever the fook he like. afer yuvi he is probably the 2nd best odi batter in the world.
Desi Cartman Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 when and where we playing T20 wc? Sept Sri Lanka
Ultimate_Game Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 Why? When the chips are down, he wants to come in at 5, 6 or 7 but with 30 odd left, he comes in at 4. Couldn't he have left Raina or Rohit get some knocks before the 1 dayers? Am I the types who is questioning his every move now? hmmm... the guy you are talking about promoted himself in a pressure situation in WC final and probably is the biggest reason we were able to chase in the final

You think Yuvraj Singh is the best ODI batsman in the World? :hysterical:
Old guy Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 hmmm... the guy you are talking about promoted himself in a pressure situation in WC final and probably is the biggest reason we were able to chase in the final tbh biggest reason was gambhir's knock .. but thats diff story imo dhoni should normally play higher up cos he can control the game so well (in odis) and these tracks would be flat.. maybe with bounce which dhoni likes our best bet would be if he comes at no 5 and consistently gives us good finishes cant wait for tomorrow want till tomorrow ! ;D
kevinpp24 Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 i think he also came up the order in asia cup in pak but only against bangladesh and hong kong but stayed back after those two games. But if i remember correct, he said "ma y be i should come up the order every time" but guess what he came down order the very next match. I can clearly see lot of selfish moves but die-hard dhoni fans dont seem to get the point. Abt the WC final, i guess everyone know who was responsible for that win, gambhir did the hardwork but it went to dhoni who came after dew had started.
CG Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 hmmm... the guy you are talking about promoted himself in a pressure situation in WC final and probably is the biggest reason we were able to chase in the final We would chased it even with out him,Yuvraj was in such good form.Truth is dhoni is smart he knows his strengths and limitations he will promote himself when its 100-1 as he plays spin very well and can hold one end up ,he knows if he promotes himself when it is 50-2 most probably it is going to be 50-3,People say he should bat up the order ,but really he is at his best when he is floating.
Needforspeed Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 After the 1st T20 everyone said he should bat up the order in T20s because of the style of his batting. Now that he has done that people are finding fault with him. C'mon give the guy a break. And regarding his captaincy...look how much better it looks without the buddas in the side. Unfortunately one budda will be back for the ODIs.

And talking about Asia Cup, can you tell us why he promoted himself against Pak in Asia Cup 2010
CG Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 He is one selfish mofo.Played all his life for averages' date='50+ ODI average is testimony to his selfishness.[/quote'] Actually its true. You can change the selfish to being smartass.
Sid Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 Actually its true. You can change the selfish to being smartass. OK .......... TATA ............. HORN PLEASE .........
daryl1985 Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 tbh biggest reason was gambhir's knock .. but thats diff story imo dhoni should normally play higher up cos he can control the game so well (in odis) and these tracks would be flat.. maybe with bounce which dhoni likes our best bet would be if he comes at no 5 and consistently gives us good finishes cant wait for tomorrow want till tomorrow ! ;D Gambhir :hail: The man who top scored for India in the T20 WC 2007 final and WC 2011 final. Dhoni played a superb knock in the final as well. Both deserve credit.
Ultimate_Game Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 tbh biggest reason was gambhir's knock .. but thats diff story imo dhoni should normally play higher up cos he can control the game so well (in odis) and these tracks would be flat.. maybe with bounce which dhoni likes our best bet would be if he comes at no 5 and consistently gives us good finishes cant wait for tomorrow want till tomorrow ! ;D Should be both Gambhir and Dhoni. Gambhir stopped the early bleeding and nearly saw the team homw. Dhoni for scoring runs when one more wkt would have meant a SL win, and for taking on Murali and scoring at a rate so that Gambhir never came under pressure and Murali was effectively neutralised. In fact Dhoni handled Malinga brilliantly as well in Malinga's 2nd spell and ensured we didn't collapse against Malinga. If we are chasing in a high pressure game Dhoni, Gambhir and Yuvi are the ones I rely on with Raina to chip in with a cameo. Sehwag and Tendulkar are more often than not useless in pressure games.
