Turning Point Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 PK is a street smart cricketer who can adapt to conditions unlike VK & Umesh, been effective in India aswell, whereas in english conditions he is lethal, lets wait & watch VK & Umesh they have just started their int'l stint.
BERGKAMP Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Are those photos of Dhoni and Jaddu in compromising positions? :cantstop: - Jaddu + Srinivasan (a non negotiable stipulation of Dhonis CSK contract) :giggle:
Old guy Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 only reason u wont play yadav is that he might be expensive but as we saw pk is no better and he also does not picks wicket.. so its common sensen ow to drop this half fit pk

CSK Fan Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Praveen Kumar Performances in Odis have goon down consistently year after year,He has had horrible last year averaging 50 per wicket and his contributions with bat have been none.To top it he averages 60 in india, which worse of any indian fast bowler after playing so many matches. But his place is somehow not under scrutiny and is our first choice in limited overs cricket. Last Year- Mat Runs HS Bat Av 100 Wkts BBI Bowl Av unfiltered 63 291 54* 14.55 0 69 4/31 36.13 filtered 15 66 25* 22.00 0 12 3/37 48.25 In india- Span Mat Runs HS Bat Av 100 Wkts BBI Bowl Av unfiltered 2007-2012 63 291 54* 14.55 0 69 4/31 36.13 filtered 2007-2011 19 167 54* 27.83 0 13 2/37 62.53 Yes stats do not show the whole story,But him being regarded as automatic choice for india is a joke. Dunno what's the reason behind you constantly filtering his stats for home performances when he is selected for an overseas series. Why don't you filter his stats overseas. Or in Australia.
CSK Fan Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Btw, I will stick my neck out and say he will be really good later in the series. Just like he was the major reason we won last time in the same series.

CG Posted February 9, 2012 Author Posted February 9, 2012 Can Irfan swing it both ways or is he only able to bring it back into the right hander? Of what i saw agianst wi in the last odi,yes he can bring it back to right hander and bowl the one which holds its line its more of angle than outswing.

achilles Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Pk is a decent young player. We won the CB series last year due to majorly his contribution. He's a bit out of form. Maybe he'll be given this series to turn things around.
Stuge Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 I'm sure irfan will get his chance either in the next match or next to it .

achilles Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 which cb series? Sorry. I meant the last time, that is the last time we toured Australia.
Number Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 May be because we are winning and winning quite convincingly at home in ODIs. (Against SA , NZ , England , WI) so that may be the reason for his performance not getting noticed.
maniac Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 PK will be ineffective in Australia....I probably called it first here, when everyone was praising his performance in England and against a poor WI. With the pool of bowlers(Good or Bad) we have.......We need to move on from PK....TBF He deserves another test chance based on his last performances but no way he should be playing ODI cricket ever... I don't know what element he brings to the plate in the ODI format.

He might be good when conditions suit him,But clearly there are different yardsticks for diff bowlers ,Problem is dhoni thinks he is the best bowler for india in odis.
