He was more consistent and accurate than Yadav. Didnt you see the reverse swing in his first ODI.

Yeah? And what did he do with that Rswing? He got the English tail enders...& in the TEST match against Windies he got a wicket on the 163rd over and that too on a loose shot of Bravo..and yet again the rest of the tail. I did not see any consistency, if it is about line and length from him. The first class 41 and 27 has a vast difference and says it all about the 2. I'll go with Yadav over Aaron any day..IMO

In England ODI, Bresnan is not a tailender, so is Brothwick, both are capable alrounders. Also dont forget, his match turning wicket of Alistair Cook at Eden Gardens. He could have taken more wickets but was not even given any over after that instead Dhoni gave overs to Tiwary. Mumbai was a flat track, fast bowlers from both sides went for runs, still he took Bravo, Samuels, and Sammy neither is a typical tailender. I wont chose one of them. If both are available, I will play both. Both are not finished article yet and they will become better as they play more.

He can prove to be a good limited overs bowlers( NOT YET PROVEN). But the problem is, this fecker seems to runs his mouth much more than his ball. Seems like a fame crazy actor from bollywood, nothing more than that. What the feck is the need of all these interviews? He needs to play some games for his country first then start giving interviews about his pain in the asss. As of now, he is just a 'One Ball Wonder'.....

I think , much like others here, that Aaron is yet to prove. He's exciting, he's pace .. YES but unfortunately it isn't enough to cut at the international level. Requires more.

Seriously..he has just got into Int. cricket and has started to become an other Shreeshanth, the attitude wise.

Yes, he has to be given more chances. But so far I din't find anything special in him.

So you want ready made special bowler. We have not got a ready made special bowler in 70 odd years of our cricketing history.

I dont know how answering questions from journos makes him Sreesanth like . He doesn't throw tantrums, abuse anyone MC BC, show finger to the crowd and do any of the antics that Sreesanth or any of the other guys do. The guy just happens to be articulate in English and therefore answers questions instead of mumbling or shaking his head like most of the new-comers in the Indian squad, especially those form the Bimaru states. Its just his bad luck that he has got injured..Agree that he is still raw. Did anyone see how Stuart Broad was 3 years back? He is still young. In India trundlers like Vinay Kumar and Praveen Kumar get repeated opportunities, even if they are crap most of the times. Dhoni's preference for trundlers is well known. He along with Yadav and some of the fringe fast bowlers whom we have discussed in various fast bowler threads need to be given opportunities.

So an injured young pacer saying hope this is my last injury is yapping his mouth and indulging in clown like behavior? The kind of abuses our players have been copping on this site recently has been downright disgusting.

:finger: Sale, god status de diya pehle hi tum logo ne usko... I agree, he has talent. But, there are talented players in every city of India. First let him play for India. Abhi tak to, when he was about to get his opportunity after a long wait, he failed to cash on it and got injured and till now he has not played a single domestic game.. Pta lage, he is getting injured after playing every couple of matches or reduced his pace due to injury problem, then even you people would join me in the protest against him that he dashed your hopes :finger:

Lol at this unwarranted hate for Aaron. He has impressed in ODI's up to now. He generates good pace, is accurate and can reverse the ball. People who slate him for his bowling in his only test on a flat Wankhede wicket (one doctored to give Sachin every chance of making his 100th 100) are fools. He did well considering how bad the pitch was. He has quite a lot of potential and i for one hope he can bounce back from his injuries and become an important bowler for India.

I analysed and saw bowling run ups and styles of both these guys( VA and UY) and I came to a final conclusion that VA bcos of his extra height and a bowling action which I thot was a shade better then UY or also bcos of Taller physique - I kinda decided that VA may be marginally better than UY. Actually I thot that VA wud get opportunity first but I was surprised to see UY selected in India first- Though VA has also Impressed Quite a lot but UY has been nearly Phenomenal and has overtaken VA like a speeding car. VA"s fitness is also not helping VA at all. I thot that both are equally strong but it seems my assumptions and calculations are being proved wrong. Let us continue to see these 2 compete- All India batters fear facing them.

Australian Selectors Mark some Fast bowlers as Extra Special and continue Supporting them - a hype is created and that's why even before Patinson bowled the first ball to us- our batters were dead scared to face him - though the most Successfull bowler were the other 2 Pacers as Pattinson did not play all tests but if Pattinson and that other fast bowler who did not play against are fit- they automatically walk into an Aussie team ahead of the 2 fast medium bowlers who Succeeded against India. That's what shud happen we should Clearly. Declare UY and VA as our best and select them always when they are fit ahead of all TRUNDLER Kumar"s and Dhoni needs to be Told this Clearly. Trundlers should not be Played at all in any form except T 20"s as that format does not suits fast bowlers.

I like him too. You know I am a big fan of his and even I want him to be a successful FAST bowler. But for that, he needs to get fit and play for India first. Right now, he don't have a place in 15-member squad as well... There r other bowlers now who deserve more than him and who deserves a long run. I can quickly give you 5 bowlers who deserves to be picked now ahead of Varun- 1. Umesh Yadav. 2. Irfan Pathan 3. Zaheer Khan 4. Munaf Patel (Munaf is performing pretty well in domestic limited over matches, whereas Varun is not even fit for the IPL, so Munaf deserves chance ahead of Varun) 5. Ashoke Dinda These are clear-cut 5 bowlers, who deserves chance ahead of Varun. There are some other bowlers as well, who are in radar ahead of Aaron- 6. Vinay Kumar. 7. Praveen Kumar. 8. Shami Ahmed. 9. Ishant Sharma 10. Abhimanyu Mithun (his name only coz our team mgt saw him as a future prospect). There could be some other bowlers who will be making their mark in upcoming IPL. So, you see, what I meant to say, Aaron got opportunity but he got injured at the wrong time. Now, he will have to wait for his opportunity coz now other 9-10 bowlers deserves opportunity ahead of him
