Bold-faced text: Totally classless on your part. Agree with the rest of your post. Santorum is a fiscally liberal, spend, spend, spend, I love my earmarks Republican. On fiscal issues, he may as well be a Democrat. If he goes against BHO, we'll get 4 years of crap governance - regardless of who wins in November.

Quite honestly, Mitt Romney should go jump off a cliff. The republican nomination was all signed, sealed and delivered for him this year. Yet, he has flubbed his best chance.

Check the candidates FEC filings.. Thanks to citizens united and his rich Wall-street buddies, Romney is out-fund raising Santorum 10 to 1, even today. In my opinion, there's a genuine trust deficit among real Conservatives for Romney. They simply CANNOT trust him. After all, how can anyone? The guy's the ultimate flip-flop, if ever there was one. He says nominate me because I am a businessman and I can create jobs when all that Bain did was to destroy American jobs. He ran against Ted Kennedy in 94 flaunting his 'moderate and progressive' credentials, but goes to CPAC in 2012 saying when he was 'SEVERELY'(?) conservative governor. He says he is the only non career-politician who can be trusted when everyone knows the only reason he is not a career politician was because he lost the senate race in 94. The whole world knows the health care reform of 2010 borrowed major elements from Romney's Massachusetts' plan. If that is not enough, he makes major flubs whenever he opens his mouth, whether offering Rick Perry a $10,000 bet, or calling his $375,000 speaking fee that he earned in 2010 as 'not much money..' or saying he 'does not care about the poor people..' The guy suffers from a severe case of trust and empathy deficit, especially among conservatives. And the fact of the matter is, if he cannot win people of his own party over, what chance he has to win over independents and liberals in the general election? The more and more people get to know Romney, the less his favorability ratings have become.

It's the PACs and super PACs putting out ads and providing indirect support. In Santorum's case, the religious right is out in full force. I even posted a composite picture of the two of them.[/quote'] A 'politician of convenience' would not have repealed DADT, ended the Iraq war permanently, passed healthcare reform, initiated banking reform and rejected the keystone pipeline. Those are tough policy fights that Obama could have not done with. Yet, he chose to have those fights in times of extreme economic distress. When Obama's president, I know which direction the country's heading. Of course, the pace may not be what I want it to be, but at least the heading is reasonably constant. That is not the case with Romney. These days, it does not sound like he is running against his republican challengers or President Obama, it seems like he is running against the Mitt Romney of the past. On every single worthwhile issue, he has made a direct 180 degree u-turn just to appease the tea-party/fox news crowd.
