Mostly it is some strange place. Also possibility of having a dream is more for me when i close every single door in the room. I would not be able to move muscle for a while. Never lasted long. At most 1 or 2 minutes.

Sometimes your also see and hear things not there. Btw, almost everyone experiences it at least once in their lives though severe ness might vary.

I had something like this during one of the dream in which I was with a group of people ,and suddenly ,I found myself left behind with pack of 17 dogs running after me .It was scary .

And I have experienced exactly same feeling as shown in the picture - something sitting on my chest, and pinning me on the bed. Even more 'lucid' experience - during hostel days, my next-door friend used to be so 'aware' in those 'paralysis' moments, that he would call for my name - "Akshay, wake me up, wake me up...." - in a very feeble voice, yet I could hear it next door...at first I was confused and scared as if some ghost is calling my name. Funny thing, I started having sleep-paralysis moments, only after I witnessed my friends' - as if it was some communicative disease.
CasualVisitor Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Used to have it as a kid. Mostly during noon nap than at night. The frequency increased after my great grandmothers death. I had taken over her sleeping place. Did not have it for many years now.

Old guy Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 ^ these things are not possible from wht i ve seen it happens when ur half awake or wake on ur own when u wake up by alarm or some one else wakes u up u will probably not get this :dontknow: im not sure and i dont want to sleep now shoud ve never read this thread :wall:

All the times it happened to me - it was me waking up on my own. But you can still be awake before the alarm goes off..and if you become awake into this state..then the alarm wouldn't matter anymore till your brain resets itself.
