Agree with most apart from Sehwag 200 and Sachin 200' date=' were flattest tracks and tiny grounds.[/quote'] Sachins hundred was against an attack with steyn and morkel and 200 was done for first time, shewag also had to face some fast bowlers.

yes it was good innings but top 5 don know i rate gambhir's inning much higher also virat's hundred > tendulkar's hundred in cb series final.. yes over all performance was better he performed in both finals and won us the game but this was near impossible situation..there was hell of a pressure ,if u think there was no pressure then this shows how much he dominated them :D 320 inside 40 overs if u think thats normal now a days then i have nothing to say..it only happened once before and then too there was no real pressure on team to play like that..
No way sachins hundreds were in the finals and we won them, kohli hundred is of no meaning excpet personal milestone.

The thing is you need to see the scenario of this innings. There was nothing going right, no one was giving us a chance chasing 320 in 50 overs, let alone in less than 40 overs, see the context. This inning was one of the top 5 innings ever played by an Indian in ODIs. SRT's innings in CB series final were good but not as good as this. This was nonchalant and dominating. Though attack was not as good as Aussie pace attack.

Kohli ton is good for him,But at the end it did not do anything ,It would not be in my top 5 anyway.

For me SRTs 175 chasing 351 was better than these two final innings, SRTs 200, and Sehwag's 200, though we lost in that game, but some innings are always etched in memories.

Attacks matter less in chases like these. In fact, any Australian bowling cannot be called weak. Australia has won that series with weak bowling attack and it was not that weak with Bollinger, Hilfenhaus, and Mackay. Two of them were playing in this series as well. That innings was great because no one except Raina scored runs, Sehwag also had 30 odd and still we lost by just 3 runs, and until SRT's that Misbah shot, we were winning the match. We needed 19 in 17 balls when SRT got out as 7th wicket. That loss was hurting.

Kohli, as a rookie, has more runs in one final than Tendulkar in two finals put together while Tendulkar scores centuries in finals of some chindi ODI tournaments no one can even care the feck enough to remember their name.:hysterical:

Where does ppl think this knock comes in greatest ODI knock played by an Indian 17th December 1988, India chasing a target of 279 against NZ were 118/4 in 29th over, requiring 161 runs in 21 overs with no powerplay overs, Azharuddin scored 108 runs in 65 balls with a SR of 166.15 and won the match for India with 17 balls to spare. At that time this was the fastest hundred by any player in ODI http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/64335.html The reason why I am asking this coz ppl hardly talk abt this knock, seems to be a very underrated ODI knock
