He is a fully proven quantity nowadays. When he scores people luv it but have come to.expect it which generally is a hallmark of potential great.

Tubby isn't a great commentator quality wise, but I enjoy his commentary. He is unbiased, entertaining and unlike most other commentators these days doesn't have a hidden agenda.

He has unusually a big forehands. Something you don't see among subcontinent cricketers with few exceptions like Jayasuriya.
Old guy Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 this guy needs to play after ms dhoni in odis.. is a gr8 hitter at end .. and if in good touch can come up in the order i dont expect him now to become a test player..his technique is just not good enough for it .. but on flat tracks he can quickly get runs.. (which dhoni cant at start) so he is perfect finisher for out team right now

Thankfully Kohli put them firmly in their sorry place in this match but our struggles against them in this tournament just show what a malaise Indian cricket is in.

What is the highest individual score in first ininngs of an ODI where team lost eventually?. My guess is Ponting 164 vs SA.

India wouldn't have won the WC without him and I doubt Jaddu or any other younger batsman could have playe those knocks. In sub-continent he should be in the team without any doubt. In fact I don't think he has failed in subcontinent in shorter formats. But yeah he shouldn't be there in the team on tours to SA or Aus on current form. But if Raina is not going to be in team for next WC, why we should play him in any ODI. Let's prepare team with somebody keeping WC 2015 in mind. Don't you know it is just 3 years away?
