rkt.india Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 BCCI media release: Mr N Srinivasan and Mr. Rahul Dravid will address media at 12:30 pm on Friday at Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru BY Gaurav Kalra.. CNN-IBN
yoda Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 Dravid likely to retire on Friday http://www.espncricinfo.com/india/content/current/story/556624.html Seems like it is indeed true. Great legend. Hats off. :hatsoff: Wishing him a happy and relaxed post retirement life. I know he will be playing the IPL, so he isn't gone totally from the cricketing scene. We do need a permanent #3 which RD held so admirably for over a decade.
saneindian Posted March 8, 2012 Author Posted March 8, 2012 Expect VVS to call for a press conference very soon. We could very well see our test team without both RD and VVS when we play the Kiwis in Aug-Sept :((
saneindian Posted March 8, 2012 Author Posted March 8, 2012 he must have been retiring from odi only.. Already did that after the England ODIs.
zaheer Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 Expect VVS to call for a press conference very soon. We could very well see our test team without both RD and VVS when we play the Kiwis in Aug-Sept :(( Dont think VVS is going to go soon! Unless dropped
yoda Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 he must have been retiring from odi only.. Welcome to 3 months ago.
vvvslaxman Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 Dont think VVS is going to go soon! Unless dropped Now that Dravid has announced, VVS might try to buy some more time which frankly he doesn't deserve.
skindia Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 I rate dravid higher than SRT in tests..hats off to legend..
yoda Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 I rate dravid higher than SRT in tests..hats off to legend.. You are not alone. :winky:
ganeshran Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 VVS will also retire in a few days. I guess SRT will do it next year.
Stuge Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 Expect sehwag to retire from one form soon..
vvvslaxman Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 He should of played his last at home :(( He deserves a great finish. Sadly he hit the rock bottom in OZ after being the only shining light in England. A retirement then would have been ideal for him. Sadly these days when you are in good form you tend to push for one more year. No modern Indian player has timed their retirement perfectly.
skindia Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 Drunken fletcher should be sacked....Dravid should be appointed as coach.
vvvslaxman Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 Drunken fletcher should be sacked....Dravid should be appointed as coach. Under fletcher not Just India hit the rock bottom.. also some players are hitting their rock bottom :cantstop:
King Tendulkar Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 The right time to go. Legend. All time cricket great. A hero to us all. Will be remebered for eternity
ravishingravi Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 About time. Although, I have nothing against him. He had scored 3 centuries in England when the rest were ripped apart including the celeb seniors. Wonder when they will get the message.
