so only two games left other than DD and KKR. DC - cant do anything :giggle: MI - slight chances are there that we can knock them out of playoffs :nice: or we can knock :pw: from their beloved 8th spot
You can still scrape through. Stop being losers before you've lost. :giggle:

Trust me i had this weird dream. Bit embarrassed to say this. Got a dream where CSK is playing IPL. A 6 year old girl is bowling fir M Vijay holes out then they send Ashwin is sent as pinch hitter. He hits a 4 and gets out next ball to the girl .

All depends on Raina's form. We badly need him to at a minimum score a quick 30+. More the better. His batting is key. Given that our bowling isn't in form with Ashwin unable to take wickets and Bollinger out, the batting has to get the extra runs. Tuk-tukking our way ain't going to win any games.

CSK's problem has always been the damned allrounders who are selected to the detriment of bowling. bravo out for bollinger and this csk team is the best one on the field. only one out of bravo/morkel is necssary. IPL win has always depended on the specialists. but the morons inthe csk management never realised their folly. they have selected umpteen allrounders for no spectacular returns and still they are clueless this path does not have a high ROI. IPL will be won by vijay or raina or hussey. morkel are at best side actors. vijay looked good in his brief stay.his return to form will be most welcome. jadeja has not adapted to the lsuggish wickets but i am sure he will do well for the long term.

:hysterical: So who has won more IPL's than CSK with this so called specialist strategy?

what the hell are you blabberring? So which allrounder ever played a meaty role in CSK's IPL win? for that matter consistent runs of CSK. My point was umpteen allrounders have selected for four years for largely mediocre returns. morkel has been the most effective. but even his is at best a supporting role. My post basically that IPl wins as well consistent performances of CSK was based primarily on performances of specialists. raina, vijay have been in the top 10 run getters for 2010/2011,hussey for 2011. murali, ashwin, bollinger have been the top 10 wicket takers for 2010-2011. raina and vijay ofcourse played crucial primary roles in playoffs. its these meaty contributions that really matters. my contention is the allrounders never really mattered except for a bit of morkel.but cks maangement has been blinded to their repeated mistakes becuase of this even allowing that morkel was an exception, all this consistent buys of other allroudners over four years have given to 0 to average returns.

Four foreigners rule suits CSK Raina: Should the IPL allow teams to field five overseas players? That question fuels a common debate among fans and observers of the league, but Chennai Super Kings Suresh Raina said it was not something his side sought. Ūf you ask me, we have a lot of Indian players sitting on the bench, who are better than some foreigners, Raina said. Å£ut when it comes to the IPL rules, you have to give four foreigners a chance [actually, you donÃÕ the rules only stipulate the maximum number of foreigners in the side, not a minimum]. We have Vijay, he played really well today. We have players like Yo Mahesh and Sudeep Tyagi. I would think four foreigners is enough for the team
how many of you will agree...

In batting, atleast one top class foreigner is required.hayden or hussey have always been there. i would want two penetrative foreign fast bowlers and a mystery spinner to partner ashwin. one in batting, three in bowling.our spots are pretty much covered by four.

CSKs strength is that we bat so deep. one foreign pace bowler is enough, but problem is bolly is not in form.. I would prefer Faf ( in form and he is good enough to replace Hussey ) Bravo ( his bowling is more than decent in death , and a good addition to our team ) Morkel ( :hatsoff: ) Bolly/Hilfy
