Why does every win have to be a struggle? :(( [\QUOTE] right now the team setup is such that vijay and raina are crucial.a plethora of allroudners and wicket keepers follow afterwards. possibly mukund and aniruddha canbe groomed from this season. only one out of bravo ,morkel or jadeja needed.jadeja has to be ready next year, he is not mature enough this year. three semi decent bowlers in bravo, morkel and jadeja means the opposition can toy with our attack more often than not.tendulkar and rohit were proceeding as if they were facing a club attack. thankfully it was only exposed partly yesterday that too by a mediocre player binny. this is the real weak link. bollinger and ashwin do not have the same mystery as initial. the opposion has clear startegies against them. four genuine bowlers is a must.this is where the csk management has been riding its luck too far. murali was there in 2010, he is not there anymore. Last year's win was almost exclusively based on home advantage.but vijay ,raina, bollinger and ashwin were among the top performers.

Why does every win have to be a struggle? :(( Quite honestly - We dont deserve a spot in the top 4 this year. We may well end up sneaking into the playoffs, but we will get our ass whopped there. :((
You are speaking the exact opposite. Its just a matter of reaching in the playoffs, once we get there, we will complete the hattrick of titles. CSK have always been like that. We have the experience of playing the playoffs from the past 4 years.

lot of hyperbole here. Bravo is not going to score heavy runs or take lots of wickets. in others words, he is totally insignficant to whether CSK is going to win the IPL. he is dispensable. yes few of his cameos can be useful at times and in a few games he may play some singinficant roles. but such a player is far from indispensable. The fact is the batting is not going to miss bravo by any means. its the CSK bowling that desperately needs strengthening. CSK need atleast two bowlers who can figure with 14+ wickets per season. the 2 man bowling attack of hilfenhaus and ashwin right now have too much on their hands. it does not look that inpsiring with this attack.

Faf is a must in the line up if fit. Drop anyone but Morkel if this guy has to be included. Our bowling is cr@p this year and that is not going to change. It is the batting (which has done worse) which needs to step up.

Bravo, like youngindia put it, is dispensable. Badri could have played better at middle overs, morkel can hit better. If he is replaced by bollinger, then bollinger can bowl better. If he is replaced by hussey, he can hit better. There is no use for him in this line up as anything. Middle overs - Badri, Hussey Finishers - Morkel, Dhoni, Jadeja Bowling - Doug/kulasekra, Yo mahesh I have only used players that dont get enough overs due to bravo being sent in earlier or bowled more.

Dhoni believes in part timers and bits and pieces players more than specialists. CSK is efectively playing with 2 specialist bowlers Hilfy and Ashwin. All others are just part timers Bravo, Morkel, Jaddu. Yomahesh and Jakati are not regular.
