This reminds me of WC 2007' date='when we were hoping for Bermuda to beat Bangladesh so that we could go through:(([/quote'] Dhoni's luck is not really good these days. India was hoping for SL beating BD in asia cup.. that is a realistic prediction any day. Even that did not happen.. Australia beating SL was also realistic prediction. That didn't happen either in CB. If anything PKXI will end up beating DD .

Rajasthan Antiques lost? :yay: We are still in it Baby... Here's hoping Grandpa Gilchrist forgets his arthritis medicine tonight and Martian Gayle is reclaimed by his homies from outer-space.

Losing to the clowns both times in this edition... I am ready to do this - acapulco-cruises-3.jpg But, there's still a tiny sliver of hope out there.

It would have been so much easier had DD beaten RCB. :girl_sigh:

Not really. Even then, RCB could have given DC a thrashing, reached 17, and be ahead of you in terms of NRR (bcos of the thrashing).

Would have been possible had Delhi not rested their best batsman (Sehwag), best fast bowler (Morkel) and best spinner (Nadeem) in the match.

Chennai's chances of making it to play-offs would have been better than RCB. Having said that, the way we played this year, we really dont deserve to reach the play-offs.

The Dhoni era is over, CSK needs a new leader with fresh approach. Even if CSK go onto IPl title from here on, won't change the fact that Dhoni has regressed as a leader. All through this average campaign, they did not try to change their strategy even once! Same tried and tested formula which doesn't work anymore.

With the kind of runs RCB had scored, DD could have maximum beaten them in the last over. That wouldn't have impacted their NRR too much, and still a 25-30 run victory over DC would see them through.

Dhoni's luck has also run out. This is the 3rd straight tournament where he's waiting for other teams to bail him out. Australia and SL didn't; and I doubt DC would either.
