Stuge Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Boss, shut up! Snaps Srikkanth to reporters Mumbai: Irritated by repeated questions pertaining to the omission of Virender Sehwag and Zaheer Khan from India's squad for the upcoming Asia Cup, the chairman of selectors Kris Srikkanth snapped back at reporters during a press conference outside the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai on Wednesday. Moments after Srikkanth announced a 15-man squad for the Asia Cup, stressing that Zaheer and Sehwag had been rested on medical grounds, Srikkanth refuted the notion the selectors’ decision had been taken based on poor form. "I assure you that no one has been dropped from the side. The BCCI received a report from the team physiotherapist saying that Sehwag and Zaheer need proper rest," he said.On being further asked by a reporter, Srikkanth lost his cool. "Boss, you shut up!" he snapped. "Asking the same question in different ways will not get you a different answer. It is the honest truth. I am not giving any other reason. The players have been rested on injury grounds. That is a promise. I cannot show you the medical reports because it is an internal matter. Injury ground .What if Indian plays final of CB series and injured sehwag plays the match : :hysterical: http://cricketnext.in.com/news/boss-shut-up-snaps-srikkanth-to-reporters/64174-13.html Just need to put today conference video lol [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KRzMtlZjXpU]The Black Eyed Peas - Shut Up - YouTube[/ame]

rkt.india Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Check out post no 71 Are you a fool or something? No one can do any thing regarding back stress fractures. These injuries are not in control of any and most genuine fast bowlers suffer these injuries and there is no way you can prevent them at an early age. The best thing one can do is to recover well from them and take time before come back. These injuries occur due to stress on back while bowling and are common for any genuine pacer. There is no antidote to these injuries.
saneindian Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 The same morons in the media were shouting for Sehwag to be dropped from the team a day ago. Now that he has been dropped/rested, they are crying politics! Anything for TRP. Sehwag not being there is a loss, could have looked another aggressive opener in Uthappa who is in good knick. But then they have picked Yusuf, so it more or less balances out and also gives us an option against Jadeja. All in all a good squad barring SRT. Wonder why he still wants to play after such a long tour.
peterparker Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 good team selection, though VARUN AARON should have been there if fir..good that U YADAV has been rested, as they would be dead pitch..and besided, DINDIA would know conditions of bengal better..

Tendulkar_Bhai Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 If Jaddu and VK were not there and instead 2 fresh players i.e. Nechim and Rahane it would have been a great team. Completely agree with Sehwag being dropped and Zak/Yadav rested, also would have dropped Raina.
Number Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 What's Dinda's pace is like .. 135-140 ?? They should have tried someone else in place of YP. May be Uthappa. Will have to see Jadeja blocking place of Rahul Sharma again for tournament. And Sachin would have been rested instead of Sehwag. I want Sehwag to play in Asia.
saneindian Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 In the ODIs, expect Dinda to be consistently over 140, has added some pace to his bowling since he last played for India. Was hitting 136-137 consistently in first class cricket a few days back bowling 9-10 over long spells.

adi B Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 *** man, yadav nd aaron not in the side  the pace attack we have got is the worst ever, even pakistan nd bangladesh would be licking their hands to face this sh1t attack... only way we would do well or win matches is if our batsmen score runs which is a big if... paki bowlers will gallop our young batsmen nd now even their batsmen will gallop this sh1t attack, paki nd srl favourites to beat this sh1t squad
Swing_n_Speed Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Good team, but we're running low on bowling resources. Dinda,PK,VK,IP? :banghead: At-least for the world-cup we had Zaks. Not sure if this bowling attack can pry a few late wickets and break partnerships if the opposition gets going. Pakistan and SL will not mind this one bit. Although Pakis will like this better cos their weakness is their batting. The SL team on the other hand should be shi*tt*ng in their pants. Indians doing a number on them. :hysterical: Only hope now is IP. Hoping he regains some of that swing or whatever it is that makes teams pay 1.8 mill USD for. PK know's swing but the last match has proven that at times has absolutely no idea how to control it!!! The Pakistan-India matches will be closely fought and yea it is gonna be a Pak-India final!
shinchan Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 good team..yadav went for too many runs in ODI's.so he is out of team.pappu is also out:dance: Pathan brothers will be playing together:yay:
The Realist Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 What a stale and uninspiring squad. Same old players who continuously underperform are endlessly recycled – Jadeja, Nohit, Koomars etc. There is no incentive to perform at domestic level as you never get picked. And seriously Tendulkar – getting embarrassing now
rajmarie Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 ^ Not sure if Yadav would agree. He's young and would be hungry to just keep on going. He hasn't really played that much compared to other pacemen in other teams. Yadav has been playing for India from Oct 1st in WI series (Test & ODI) then in Aus. He has bowled lots of overs. IMO....the selectors did a smart move to rest him from Asia cup. No need to have him break down. Sachin in the Asia Cup team. How the time have changed :winky:
rani joshi Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 No reserve wicket keeper? Now, will Kohli and gambhir become enemies? Ideally, dhoni should have rested, gambhir should ave been captain and Kohli vice captain.

Stuge Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 So Tendulkar will play every game? No sehwag ,So ,he will be rotated among himself . If that makes any sense to you lol
