rkt.india Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Technique wise- 1. Kallis 2. Rohit Sharma 3. Virat Kohli Worst Technique- 1. Mohd Kaif 2. Graeme Smith 3. Taufeeq Umar :haha:
ZodiaC Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Rohit Sharma's technique is excellent? Our definition of "technique" must differ vastly then. Kohli has really good technique though, in all fairness.
vamos_rafa Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 You forgot Mark Waugh in timings section. I think he was better than Langer and at par with both dada and Laxman.
vamos_rafa Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 and :wtf: is Rohit doing in stance section?? How much cricket has he played to be included there?? SMG should be added there in place of No-hit.
Old guy Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 joke thread... rohit best technique :hysterical: kohli is 20 x better then him ... aand some one like hussey, cook etc how can u forget them ? :P
cameron_black Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 agree that rohit has a superlative technique, simply an awesome batsman to watch.
ZodiaC Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Good to watch is not the same as superlative technique. Was such pain to watch in Aus this season.
jusarrived Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 People change opinions like chaddis here . few ODI games and suddenly Sharma has bad technique ? IIRC most of you wanted Rohit played in tests ahead of Virat before the start of series .
Magneto Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Yes yes. Rohit Sharma very good technique. Technique like Batman, and very good average like Batman also, against West Indies. Better than Sanny Gavaskar's average against West indies.
vamos_rafa Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 People change opinions like chaddis here . few ODI games and suddenly Sharma has bad technique ? IIRC most of you wanted Rohit played in tests ahead of Virat before the start of series . It's not that. The point is, people like Rohit and Kohli have hardly played for 3-4 years. Their techniques have not been tested in "all" the conditions. You can't have their names clubbed in the list of some elite batsmen.
Sid Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Rohit awesome technique ? WTF :hysterical::hysterical:.We all saw his super natural talent as well as the super natural technique in SA 2010.This guy is the only cricketer I have seen or heard who has so many fans without doing anything big of note.
jusarrived Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 It's not that. The point is' date=' people like Rohit and Kohli have hardly played for 3-4 years. Their techniques have not been tested in "all" the conditions. You can't have their names clubbed in the list of some elite batsmen.[/quote'] if that was true i would have agreed , but if you notice Rohit has been singled out here & no one is talking about Virat .
Old guy Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 if that was true i would have agreed ' date=' but if you notice Rohit has been singled out here & no one is talking about Virat .[/quote'] like i said virat is better then rohit but there are many better then virat too :P and who so ever said mny of u were supporting rohit to play ahead of kohli it wasnt me.. it was this guy saurav01 :P
Crookbond Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 You forgot Mark Waugh in timings section. I think he was better than Langer and at par with both dada and Laxman. Alec Stewart was one of the very sweet timers of the ball so was Mudassar Nazar from Pakistan (if this isn't restricted to Indian batsmen).
Stuge Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 With respect to Batting technique give your best 3 and worst 3 in all respect which you have seen, here are mine: Hand eye Coordination Best: Sehwag Jayasurya Gilchrist Worst: No one V prasad Muralidharan A nehra Bsingh bedi Abdur Rehman etc
