As much as I dislike Kohli's MC-BC nonsense, I have now accepted the fact that it is part of Kohli's personality and that's how he plays his cricket. He is maturing slowly, and by the time he turns 27-28, his juvenile outbursts would be much more sporadic. Attitude wise he's a lot like Punter, and Punter hasn't done too badly as a captain. I guess the point was that Kohli has prior leadership experience, and as a junior leader he did win the most important trophy in junior cricket.

Hope so. And, I don't want to read much into doing well as a cappo at Youth levels. Most of the matches won at that level are down to sheer talent and skill and not due to strategy. In all likelihood, he looks certain to replace Dhoni as the long term cappo of the team. It would serve well if the Delhi Cricket Board (or whatever it's called) instates him as their cappo for the Ranjis next season and groom him for the next two years before he takes up the reins of MSD.

He can be made captain of the RCB team anyway. I don't think he'll play many domestic matches in the next few years, so he'll have valuable experience in the IPL. As regards to sobering team, I think nowadays he shows much more composure in media and post-match interviews than he used to show a few years back.

But, that is all the evidence we have (of captaincy and leadership), and which is positive. It certainly is not enough to claim he would be a good captain, but does show some potential.
