A word for Rohit

His average is in mid 30s which is not poor if not very good. Last year he averaged more than 60.
33.23 is not mid 30s, its low 30s. mid 30s with a huge strike rate (i.e. raina) would be acceptable, but rohit scores at 78.85. not impressed. and yeah, its easy to score runs against the west indies. right now he is nothing more than a minnow-bashing specialist. i wonder i how many more games he will play before ppl realise that he isnt cut out for ODIs? my guess, another 80.

so why didn't others like Kohli, GG scored so many runs against WI. Did you watch matches in WI, those are some of the hardest track to score runs and there bowling is certainly better than SL right now. Take a look at the scores made by Aus and WI in current ODI series. WI bowling troubled us even more than England in England ODIs or ODIs in India. Another stat for you. Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar first 85 matches runs 2200 odd..average 33...

I'm certainly not bashing Rohit' date=' but he needs to work on strike rotation - reminds me a little about Dravid before he reinvented himself and became an excellent finisher. Rohit has the shots, but if he can pick up his strike rotation, he will become a very good asset to the team.[/quote'] Agree
