He still should have said a sterner statement. Like even after ban Aamer has to prove he is a changed character and generally full of remorse for his actions. Instead he pretty much said he felt sad and it would be great if he came back..

Was reading yesterday in a Pakistani newspaper that ICC have decided to bring Aamir back, they are looking at all possible ways of reducing his ban too. One special job Aamir will be doing for ICC is to give lectures around the world to cricket kids telling them fixing consequences and how/why they must stay away from it etc etc... (Im not sure about news authenticity though as you know media...)
