CSK Fan Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 nope..it is the country's team. Not Tendulkar's!... He should retire when the board tells him to (why noone in the administration has the balls to tell him to do so is a mystery - maybe afraid of the blind Sachin fans backlash). . I think the point is Board decides whether he plays in the Indian XI/XIV Sachin decided when he needs to retire from international cricket These are two seperate points
hari504504 Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Agreed. The board can nudge him in that direction if he isn't willing to take a hint already - 'rest' him from the ODI squad. Put a youngster in who can fail for x number of games and take his time to find his feet before the 2015 WC. There is no way in hell we are walking into Australia as defending champions with a 43 year old opening batsman. He is no Clarke Kent.. those reflexes will be in the bins by then.
Jersey #10 Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 I don't care how long he plays, I just want to enjoy it while he plays. Who cares when he retires? Why even worry about it or think about it now? It's his job afterall.

hari504504 Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 how is that relevant to what is being discussed ?
vvvslaxman Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 If Tendulkar's form is indifferent in 2015(assuming he still plays) and Dhoni is still captain he will make the tough call irrespective what cheeka and co thinks. Don't think any other captains will want to make that call.
Jersey #10 Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 ^not gonna happen. Sachin can't be rested just like that.
velu Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 ^not gonna happen. Sachin can't be rested just like that. and sachin is taking advantage of that :nervous:
vvvslaxman Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 ^not gonna happen. Sachin can't be rested just like that. If both of the above happen it will happen. Didn't Dhoni persist with Rohit sharma rotating Tendulkar/Viru/Gauti in Australia. He prefers youngsters given a choice.

rkt.india Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 SRT's average more than 50 in ODIs :dontknow: Rahul Kanwal first must collect his stats right before such interview. It only shows how poor their standard is.
shinchan Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 who's rahul kanwar.is he that important to be discussed??
rkt.india Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 who's rahul kanwar.is he that important to be discussed?? Rahul Kanal is not important to be discussed, important is what they they discussed.:two_thumbs_up:

skindia Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 I wonder why they are asking this to srikkanth...After september there will be new selection committee.
skindia Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 IF i was reporter,I would have asked cheeka why he is picking players for t20 based on 50 over matches in domestics??why not giving them chance in odi ??:p
