Agreed. The board can nudge him in that direction if he isn't willing to take a hint already - 'rest' him from the ODI squad. Put a youngster in who can fail for x number of games and take his time to find his feet before the 2015 WC. There is no way in hell we are walking into Australia as defending champions with a 43 year old opening batsman. He is no Clarke Kent.. those reflexes will be in the bins by then.

If Tendulkar's form is indifferent in 2015(assuming he still plays) and Dhoni is still captain he will make the tough call irrespective what cheeka and co thinks. Don't think any other captains will want to make that call.
