Cricketics Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 So what cricket apps you guys use on daily basis. I am sort of annoyed that there is no decent app for cricket which would show scores of all domestic cricket happenign all over the world. Cricinfo app is just decent. I hate it's feature of tilting the phone and seeing the full scorecard. You can't even see the domestic games scorecards. Not all of them show up. Cricbuzz app is a bit better and faster than cricinfo app But nothing like those nfl, atp tennis apps which are so precise.

Cric Info App sucks....Infact even the Mobile website is pretty bad,I always go to the desktop version. But credit were due Cricinfo has some of the best cricket related Podcasts on I-Tunes like Bowl at Boycs,Timeout with Harsha and Andy Zaltmans
asterix Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 I've Cricinfo App.. It sucks though.. Downloading Cricbuzz app now..
Cricketics Posted March 26, 2012 Author Posted March 26, 2012 So no luck of decent app for cricket for domestic games too?? I downloaded this app today - CRICKET LIVE SCORES. It's shows lot of domestic scores, but wasn't showing the syed-mushtaq ali 2020 tournaments scores today. I was looking to check the Delhi-Baroda score and Bomba-Punjab score, but had to go to cricinfo.com to check it.

Check out NDTV cricket app. I've not used it but it covers live domestic matches too (as per the description).
ganeshran Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Cricinfo app is decent. the tilting feature is extremely annoying because the screen keeps reorienting itself.
Cricketics Posted March 26, 2012 Author Posted March 26, 2012 Ticz subscribe for rss feeds of cricinfo. hmm thats one way, but it's not as fast as checking an app. I have actually bookmarked the cricinfo home page which shows live scores, and added that as short cut on the desktop. It's better than opening the browser on cell phone and going to the website.
DomainK Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 The best Cricket related app on my tablet has to be the stick cricket game. Please let me know if you know some other decent cricket game on android. Another game that is not cricket based, but I use it as a cricket related app is a puzzle called yopuzzle. It can dig out images from google search based on your search terms and create jigsaw puzzles out of them. I use search terms like "english cricketers" and play. The puzzles get increasingly difficult as you play and it's fun to try to guess the cricketer's name as you solve the game. There is not a single decent app for live scores.
Cricketics Posted March 26, 2012 Author Posted March 26, 2012 Man Stick Cricket. Good memories. I haven't played it recently, but back in the days, when it was first introduced and advertised a lot on cricinfo, I used to play it a lot. The game has come a long way now. They have made a lot of changes from what I have heard. Good to see it still around and popular. Interesting that it has an app. Used to play on their website before.
the_indian_fan Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 no cricket app. i open the full versions of cricinfo & cricbuzz on my mobile :D
