I have been a sort of anti-Mayawati guy but Mayawati is a hundred times better than the Mamata and Mulayams for sure. She had improved the crime situation in UP comparatively during her rule and also brought development to an extent at least in the UP cities (esp. of Western UP). However, for West Bengal I am not sure it made any different. The communists went but was replaced by a tyrant who is a lot anti-development and autocratic than the communists.
