Tendulkar_Bhai Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Sooo short memories by people who defend Jadega and I think thats part of the reason we are in this mess. He was hated after England and classed as the worse thing since Pakistan (quite rightly). He has shown to be a weak batsman in ODIs and an average offspinner, we NEED proper batsman and for the future, Jadega will never hold down number 6, someone like Rahane or Rohit would.
Lord Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 How are you so sure? I don't get Sobers and Richards logic. It's used in almost every thread. We have Rahane and Tiwary who are clearly better batsmen. Rahane will play as for Tiwary,I guess they wanted an allrounder instead of specialist bat at no.6.harsh on Tiwary,he should hv come in anyway for Gambhir

ODIs are never good judge for Tests,I guess u should hv learnt that after Raina n Yuvraj
Tendulkar_Bhai Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Yes Zak should not have been dropped especially if we are playing 3 spinners. However him playing or not will not change the game especially on these pitches where he hardly gets any overs during key spells. UV, Kohli, GG, Ashwin should have been dropped
The Outsider Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Rahane will play as for Tiwary,I guess they wanted an allrounder instead of specialist bat at no.6.harsh on Tiwary,he should hv come in anyway for Gambhir LOL! What are you talking about? You are saying Rahane will play at number 6, and Rahane is not an all rounder, so what's the logic of wanting an all rounder at 6?
Tendulkar_Bhai Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 ODIs are never good judge for Tests' date='I guess u should hv learnt that after Raina n Yuvraj[/quote'] Yeh but those guys perform in ODI consistently, Jadega doesnt. Plus why is Rohit who has better potential than Jadgea judged from ODI/t20's. You can judge batsman based on their scores and give them test chances hoping they will adapt their technique, but Jaddu has been a weak batsman.

The Outsider Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Rahane will come in for Gambhir(hopefully) Jaddu for Yuvraj What? Gambhir has been averaging in the 40s and is going to be dropped? And Yuvraj was an all rounder? Raina was an all rounder?

This has NEVER worked for us in tests and we dont have the players to do this. We usually go down this route when things are bad an end up sticking in someone in who is a bowling all rounder who fails with bat then gets dropped.

I did not say anything about wanting an all rounder.
Sidhoni Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Agreed. Its Indian cricket though, bowlers are the ones who suffer.
Lord Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 What? Gambhir has been averaging in the 40s and is going to be dropped? And Yuvraj was an all rounder? Raina was an all rounder? Gambhir has been pathetic for more than 2 years now.getting starts n not converting is even bigger crime. as for allrounder,I'm just thinking of reasons why they wanna go in for Jaddu.maybe they'll prepare a turner,n play him as 3rd spinner n no.6 also Rahane is a top order player.him playing at no.6 doesnt make any sense at all
twww Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 He enjoyed playing against the leggie last year. So good chance for him to get some runs.
CG Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Nagpur has decent pace and bounce ,Remember steyn ,ishant, zak performances there and it does reverse there. He could have played a role on that pitch
saneindian Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 His record in 2012 reads 8 tests, 15 wickets@50, has done absolutely nothing. Deserved to lose his spot as did Ishant. Yes a few others should have been dropped as well but doesn't mean dropping Zaheer was wrong.
indiaregulator Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Revenge for what? The 4-0 or the home loss?
indiaregulator Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Isn't this this pitch when Dale Steyn ran through Indian lineup with huge amounts of swing?
Yoda-esque Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Isn't this this pitch when Dale Steyn ran through Indian lineup with huge amounts of swing? We are soo screwed:hysterical:
Lord Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 ghanta n Fatel, whatever happens they should not score:((
