jairamesh Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 100 opening partnership, thought would never see it again with these two
Prakat Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Thanks Desi! Let's hope these two give another reason to change the title! :D
Crookbond Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Actually England don't do anything to engineer pitches to favour their bowlers. Edgebaston, Oval, Lords, Headingly are as flat as anything. It's just there's usually alot of cloudcover meaning Broad/Anderson/Bresnan can swing it a mile. Yea - how about cricket balls?
SLICKR392 Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Why isn't quick gun Murugan in the Match thread? :idunno:
Old guy Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Yea - how about cricket balls? come to match thread
Crookbond Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Why isn't quick gun Murugan in the Match thread? :idunno: Thanks to Porny and work.
King Tendulkar Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Beware the mistake of saying "O it will be a draw based on day 1" You here it all the time in India matches from all and sundry. Day 1 and 2 runs are flowing and straight away everyone saying it will be draw it s just too flat etc etc So many times it changes and the match can change in a session and then victroy and a result is gained in day 5. In fact this happens all over world but always for some reason in India all are quick to mistakenly say it will be a draw. By the way this is brand new pitch laid with less clay content so it does not hold as good together.
Trichromatic Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 This pitch is already offering help to spinners. I will become difficult to bat as the match progresses.
SLICKR392 Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 That ball which dismissed Viru turned big time.
King Tendulkar Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 And 1st ball to sachin turned big. If we can get to 450. We will win England as dopey as ever not picking Monty
SLICKR392 Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Biggest worry is England will be chasing if they make it that far. 4th Day this will be a square turner.
Crookbond Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 In India, Time of the innings is inversely proportional to the Day of the Test match. In England, Australia, South Africa it is the other way round.
its me Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 In India' date=' Time of the innings is inversely proportional to the Day of the Test match. In England, Australia, South Africa it is the other way round.[/quote'] :two_thumbs_up:
Crookbond Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Now, the Poms will say this is a great pitch because Swann has now landed up with 4 wickets. :giggle:
Trichromatic Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 72 runs in 32 overs and 3 wickets. Pitch isn't that flat?
Tendulkar_Bhai Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Great start by Sehwag and GG we have already forgotten the past 12 months! Pujara will dominate world cricket for the next 15yrs.
Sidhoni Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Sehwag is back in form and how! Not too sure about Gambhir though. He just can't get rid of the cut.
