GautiMaan Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Totally agree with you,if he improved his bowling we'd have a world class allrounder.The fact however is that we could have used him as an allrounder in the last 2 series as well but dhoni's fascination with jaddu was unshakeable.Remember one match jaddu came ahead of him?

vvvslaxman Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Pathan failures stems from the fact that he is being treated as a main bowler which he is not. He is a support bowler. If you treat him as such he would be more productive with bowling. Unfortunately there is no main bowler for the Indian side. Every fast bowler looked like part timers various times. For instance if he had someone like Steyn/ Morkel opening.. then he comes as first change he would have been more effective.
