jind Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 I have been watching Rahane for a few years both in first class and in the IPL. He's got a very good technique to be tried at the international level. The thing is his forte was First Class Cricket though in recent seasons he was seen to play aggressive cricket even in First Class. It's heartening to see him adapt and showcase his aggressive play in the shorter versions as well. Today was an innings of proper cricket and looked to be at ease while coming down the track against the spinners. Well played :hatsoff:

It was flat pitch, yes. It was a crappy bowling unit, yes, but his shots were totally classy!

Yoda-esque Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Rahane has hit 35 fours and 8 sixers in 177 balls that he has faced. That means he hits a four or six once every 4 fours :hatsoff: As always, many more fours than sixers, the hallmark of a very very good player
