I just wonder what would happen if kohli goes out in first five overs.. we'll go with very slow approach.. dont think we should make him open the inning as some suggested specially against SA and Aus.. either go with pathan or stick with veeru and gauti..

Opening with Kohli against Aussie and SA bowlers is too risky.. almost a suicide mission.. One down Kohli is the best way to go..

The we played is fine , just get Ashwin for Balaji . Irfan , Ashwin , Harbajan , Chawla ....thats as good as playing 7 batsmen .

Just being a top class WK is enough for him to be in the team.. His Wicketkeeping for spin bowlers is crucial.. He should not come up the batting order. Let UV & Raina come ahead.. BTW Dhoni & Raina is the best pair to finish the innings... Both run hard and can hoik the ball...

I think Dhoni needs to play up the order rather . He can take a over or two to settle & go nuts in the middle overs . you dont really need finishers in T20s , but players who can start hitting from the first ball which is Raina , Yuvi ( in form ) & even to an extent Rohit .

Otherwise you can easily bundle out quickly.. we are in luck in recent games because of anchor role kohli's been playing.. veeru, raina are not capable of doing that on regular basis.. .gambhir/rohit are but they been out of form..

Veeru , wudnt trust as a finisher ...but there arent many guys suited for that than Raina . Dhoni if hes still batting ~15th over having played 15-20 balls is capable of outscoring any other batsmen in the team ...the likes of Rohit , Raina & Yuvi are perfect for last 6-7 overs .

Problem with Dhoni is that if we are chasing then he is not the right guy to bat between those overs as he is been using 'caution first' or 'lets tuk tuk till last over' approach far too much..

Problem with Dhoni is he wont even take singles. Remember how he allowed the SL spinner to bowl a maiden to him. That kind of stabilization is not required. Merely wasting balls till 16th over is not consolidation.
