rkt.india Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Long hops because when ball is wet bowlers try to grip it tight and if it does not come out well from the hand, it is dragged back short or too full and become full toss.

Rohit S. Ambani Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 I simply want to see the back of Fletcher. I also want to see his back, must be soft, pink, smooth and round. :alienbooty:
Crookbond Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Indeed! This was the same pitch where Pakistan and SA spinners (FFS!) where spinning the ball. Even if you got the length right the ball did not grip and just went on to the bat. A perfect pitch even for Raina to hit through the line.
Crookbond Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Einstein's quote was in an entirely different context (positive) though :--D
Lord Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Don't consider JOginder as anything let alone bowler. :cantstop: thats insult to our world cup winner.Misbah thought the same as u n the rest is history
Ultimate_Game Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 ^ +1 The sooner we understand and set expectations right the better it is. We copied IPL from the EPL model and soon we will become the same team that England is in FIFA tournaments. We have already become so in T20s. We have lost 7 straight World T20 knockout games which is a record for any of the Test nations.
Crookbond Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 check my post no 102 in this thread- http://www.indiancricketfans.com/showthread.php?p=2126038#post2126038 You are favoring MS Dhoni in that post because according to the conditions during the toss it was good to play 3 spinners. Even Pakistan played 3 spinners and South Africa played 2 and used Duminy.
Crookbond Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 I also want to see his back' date=' must be soft, pink, smooth and round. :alienbooty:[/quote'] :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical:
rahulrulezz Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 1. Sack Dhoni in all formats. 2. Replace Dhoni in tests 3. Strict fitness tests for selction, meaning half fit yuvraj does not play etc etc 4. Do not pick chawla 5. Do not pick pathan, balaji 6. Back speedsters and get more in and get rid of trundlers wat about Bhajji' date=Rohit? No I rate them' date= so they are excluded from my list. My main thing frankly is SACK DHONI and DROP HIM FROM TESTS!! You are a joker... as a they, kutte ki punch kabhi seedhi nahi ho sakte... R.Sharma is not even good enough to lick I.Pathan shoes.... Drop Dhoni in T20s..Get Naman Ojha in.. Make Gambhir the captain.. Get Y.Pathan in as we need a wild card in our team
Number Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Considering the movement Zak was getting from his seam up deliveries, I think rain poured down heavily and caused fair dampness. But still no excuses for such poor performance. :((

Even Pakistan played 3 spinners and South Africa played 2 and used Duminy. this is what i had wrote and my fears turned out to be correct- It will depend on conditons and it may well turn out to be hara kiri against good bowling teams, just because bhajji and chawla did well you cannot play them the next match, when they were not the part of best team before hand and played because players were rested in no consequence match. If we are to go with 3 seamers and one of them is balaji its better to go with 7 batsman as 3 seamers are going to be hammered any ways and more i think of it playing 3 spinners is just not on as we can make it up with yuvraj, raina and others .so just blindly saying we will play 5 bowlers is not on.
Crookbond Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 We have already become so in T20s. We have lost 7 straight World T20 knockout games which is a record for any of the Test nations. :haha: We should not expect us to improve. Any win would be a bonus unless it is Sri Lanka or Pakistan of course. :phehehe:
ganeshran Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Dhoni's batting cost us a competitive total. 15 off 21 balls in a T20  We all know bowling sucks, so they need an above par total to atleast exert some scoreboard pressure

But today you've got to admit that no combination of the bowling was to make any difference to the state of the result of the match.
rkt.india Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Look at how aussies were delaying bowling in last 2-3 overs when drizzling started. They ensured it takes time and track gets more moisture.
Lord Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Irfan should hv opened up after the rain.would definitely hv got some swing
Yoda-esque Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Thats the hint right there...what about saying that he wants India to dominate all 3 formats or something like that...Now don't want to judge him by reading into his comments but that doesn't say anything about his motivation... I want to run the Marathon this year-Does that tell you that I am motivated enough to train? I thought your knees were messed up? Its a big risk you are taking (serious)
