I was really surprised with the bowling of Albie and Kallis. A tailender trying to slog every thing in the leg side and these bowlers were bowling short and lenght bowls and slow balls. yaar what, if, but are all good in hindsight, I didn't have much from Sehwag even if he had played. Doubt he would have survived long against Starc. Guy has 2 innings of any substance since world cup and he has always struggled against Aussie in LOIs.

People here are behaving as if MS dropped Kohli for Chawla. Sehwag was in pathetic form and I am 95% sure that if he played, he would have been dismissed in the first 3 overs. I would like to see him play against Pak though, coz Pakis will just be terrified at the sigh of Sehwag esp. Gul.

Dhoni should concentrate on playing less cricket. Retire from international T20s, and decide how long he wants to play Tests. Can retire from Tests as well since he'll keep playing IPL and CPL. He plays 24/7, and is the wicketkeeper, a leading batsman (in ODIs and Tests in the subcontinent) and the captain of all the sides he plays for. This schedule and the accompanied fatigue has taken out a lot from him physically and he's on his last legs. Should be picky and invest his energies accordingly because still he can contribute a lot for India (in ODIs).

:hysterical: Anything is fine than sending Irfan to open. That's just a negative move and its solely for the dugout to feel safe they still have 7 batsmen. In T20, you should go in a positive mood and try to attack from ball one.

The squad is incomplete. I would want Rahane in for Gambhir/Sehwag(Preferrable Gambhir as this s against Pak and i want Sehwag to play vs Pak). And Ojha/Rahul Sharma should have been there instead of Chaiwala.

There was no way the Indian team was going to win with Australian openers in such a form. They looked good to chase down 220. If you don't take early wickets against the most dangerous openers then you can't save the game no matter what your strategies are. Two wickets in the first 5-8 overs would have kept the game in balance. Bringing Pathan so late was a bad move.

Out of all the top teams,India I think has hit the least number of sixes.There in lies the problem,lack of power hitting.The bowling was mediocre from the start but batting turned out be way overrated. Need to get Veeru back in the team and I would play Raina at no.4,he is our best T20 batsman,give him more overs to bat FFS.
