Seriously, if this guy was playing for India, india would be one of the best teams in the world without question. If he was in Bangla we wud have a WC bowling department, with razzak, sakib, mashrafee and steyn A real champ, the best bowler yet

Seriously made every second worth it... what an amazing spell... the sight of Rohit Sharma fishing and missing and repeating it about 6-7 times... and then he started leaving those... If fast bowling is a religion, Steyn is its god.

I am officially raising Dale Steyn to the top tier of fast bowlers that graced our game. Dale Steyn joins the other three virtuosos - Malcolm Marshall, Richard Hadlee, and Wasim Akram. And while joining this elite club, he has left behind the club that consisted of McGrath, Imran, Waqar, Donald, Ambrose, Lillee, and Trueman

So you are raising him to the top tier based on his performance in a circus???:--D

No, not based on this one performance alone but based on his performances over his career. If you notice my posts about Steyn I have constantly maintained that he is already an ATG and that he is just below the 3 virtuosos and that he might as well end up in the virtuoso category by the time he hangs up his boots. I have also maintained that he is the best South African bowler ever - even ahead of Donald - for more than a year. His performance in this IPL (whether or not it is a circus but you gotta give a bowler his due when he bowls exceptionally well) has just hastened the process of promoting him. Dude, the way he has bowled in this season, it dunn matter whether it was tontee tontee or a Test, the only ppl who seem able to touch his deliveries would be Sachin, and Kallis. Unlike Morne and Malinga who are bowling on a different planet to the others in this tournament, Steyn is bowling on a different universe altogether.

And the worst part of it all' date=' our bevdaa did not retain Steyn. I hope we buy him back from the Dakkans during the trading window next season[/quote'] we didnt retained any of the players except Kohli... even Steven smith in our team some time back

I know! I felt we shoulda retained Kumble (if he wanted to play), Uthappa, Steyn, and Virat

retaining Kumble may not be feasible because no guarantee how long he will play and also it reduces the budget for auctions blunder was buying Tiwari and Pujara cost 2 mills unnecessarily... ediots should have gone for style bhai instead of Kaif atleast

Yes, why not? If he can do so much in a circus, in his own words a "paid holiday", he deserves to be up there with the greatests...
