maniac Posted May 1, 2012 Author Posted May 1, 2012 Indian' date=' I think. From mid-nineties.[/quote'] Can't see the video as I am at work but if you are talking about bat in the air stance-Indian,I think Kambli had that stance
Zelig Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 How many of you acknowledge your 50 by showing the reverse side of the bat? :hmmm: King Freddie was the first one to do that. Also he used to kick the ball rugby style after takin' a catch in the deep :icflove:
MCcricket Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 In gully cricket it was common to talk like Sachin in his thin , child like voice, also adjusting his guard and bending his knees before stance, also trying to bat like Sehwag not moving the feet all the way, imitating Qadir personally was fun.
RedFever Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 There was a peculiar style during late 80's by many players fielding at deep boundary to stop ball by sitting and bending their one leg on ground and putting other leg just behind specially Ravi Shastri. I had many times hurt my knees while immitating that. yeah this style of fielding was very popular in the 90's. And most of the coaching nets taught this style.
Dravid_TheWall Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Lara's backfoot going across at crease. Patience of Atherton and controlled pull. I naturally bowl with fiddy action but have been trying to adapt it to Sreesanth's for optimum swing and seam.
MCcricket Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 I remember as kids we hated the hindi commentary DD abysmal coverage of cricket, were often imitating the hindi commentators, badhiya gend, drishtikon to describe Bruce Reid's bowling.
vamos_rafa Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 I used to imitiate the way Sachin used to move his bracelet in the right hand, while bowling. Also, Azzu's way of moving around in the field, Sometimes Dravid's stance. I have had all kinds of bowling actions from Wasim to Lee. Off late, I try and imitate Dhoni's swagger and his non-chalance :-P
shinchan Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 some fielders in cricket spit onto their palms during a bowler's run-up specially ponting..tried it myself but it smells really bad:sick:

phaedrus Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 tried to copy sachin's stance when i would first walk in. if i played long enough, it would become like azhar's stance, which jadeja's shoulder adjustment. collar up like azhar while fielding. while bowling, tried to copy actions of waqar, kapil, donald, pollock, even tried prabhakar a couple of times

BERGKAMP Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 i based my whole bowling action on javagal srinath. ie holding the ball with both hands right up until the final stride before release.
