jairamesh Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 ^^ Katju blowIng hot and cold. He is correct to highlight the failure of Modi to lower malnutrition rates. It's got worse in Gujarat in the last decade compared to other fast growing states like Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and maharashtra. These states have shown good correlation at lowering malnourishment and high economic growth. But his endorsement of Madhya pradesh's CM is confusing, MP has the worst level of malnourishment in India.
Sachin=GOD Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 Mayawati says she won't support Modi for PM - more such statements from regional leaders will surely follow.
Khalpat Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 Modi is like scorpion sitting over a Shivlinga. You cannot hit him with anything as it might hit the ShivLinga and people will get offended and you cannot dare come close to him as he will sting you mercilessly.

someone Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 The whole debate has been so twisted by the Media to provide a bias opinion, that now anti-BJP'ers are softening because of this hypocrite Modi hatred displayed by the Media. Yes. It is now getting boring and extremely irritating. Initially, the propaganda was based on Modi but now it has quickly turned on about the common man. As they are effective being labelled. You are not a true muslim if you as a Muslim disagree with the anti- Modi opinion. You are not secular if you as a Hindu don't really agree with the anti-Modi opinion.
CSK Fan Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 It is nearing 30 years now, and not a single conviction. Congress has done an amazing job. Long live the Gandhi family and their minions. Unfortunately that was before our generation. 99% of people on this forum weren't born then. However we were there during Gujrat riots and Modi can never be forgiven for that even if he is the second coming of Gandhi and Lincoln combined and converts India into utopia.

Somebody inform the high council' date=' stat.[/quote'] No, I somehow don't value economic growth, real or mythical, over the life of my fellow men. Despite all it's corruption, congress is still the lesser evil. Communal split is much more dangerous to India than any corruption. The one time BJP served it's full term, the Gujrat riots happened. Now this might be perfect scenario for those Indians who hate their fellow Indians who are Muslims, but I would gladly trade economic growth for communal stability.

I have mentioned this before but I have witnessed 84 riots and have also seen the ayodhya temple riots, I felt sick reading about Gujarat riots but I don't think any of these riots are less important as they happened X number of years ago. I would always dislike congress for what they did in the 80s and btw Rajeev Gandhi did the shilanyas in the ayodhya temple and opened this discussion wide. ,

You'd rather see the population explode, widespread malnutrition and rotting foodgrains along with TWO MILLION STARVATION RELATED DEATHS EVERY YEAR in the name of real or mythical secularism ? You Sir, are a Congressi :hatsoff:

But you can't really attribute that to modi alone just like you can't attribute the high growth rates entirely to him. Their are a wide range of factors at play. If anything its shows what many economist have said about gdp growth being over rated.

Except Amma and Shiv Sena, all other NDA allies are either minor players or come from small states. With them in the alliance, BJP alone needs to cross 200+ which isnt possible.

saneindian Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Nitish minus the BJP may not even win 10 seats in Bihar. His 2nd term is now going in a similar direction as UPA 2. Like MMS in his 2nd term, he too has lost all the goodwill. Read the reports of massive protests when he toured theMMS in districts recently. He also realizes and has hence toned down his anti Modi rhetoric for the time being. The national media has largely ignored the various scams being unearthed in Bihar recently like the 6000 cr NREGA scam, school dress distribution scam, scam in purchase of bicycles given to school going girls and now there are talks of a scam in purchase of radios being distributed among maha dalits.
Sachin=GOD Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Nitish minus the BJP may not even win 10 seats in Bihar. His 2nd term is now going in a similar direction as UPA 2. Like MMS in his 2nd term' date= he too has lost all the goodwill. NDA (BJP+JDU) has 32 (out of 40) Lok Sabha seats from Bihar. If JDU separates from NDA then then BJP would not win more than 5-7 seats in Bihar - thats a loss of around 25 seats and there are not many regional parties which can compensate that big a loss. So in case JDU decides to go alone then BJP would be the bigger loser out of the two parties. Agreed. Nitish's image has taken a beating in the last few months BUT the fact remains that the people of Bihar have no option other than him because Congress is non-existent, Paswan's party has become even smaller than it previously was and then of course there Lalu - so the people have only JDU or BJP as viable options. If these two part ways then there's a very real possibility of UPA dumping Lalu and joining hands with Nitish - in that case he wouldn't lose much but NDA would get a huge shock. You might have noticed that in the last few months Nitish has softened his stand on the UPA Govt's performance and he doesn't criticize therm as much as he used to - I think he is preparing the grounds for his exit from NDA in case of Modi being the PM candidate.
BeautifulGame Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Jayalalitha has already announced she will contest 2014 elections solely without any coalition . And don't think Amma is that stupid to join BJP which will rule out any chance of her winning 2016 elections.
