asterix Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 I agree with Modi's stand... By just wearing Skull Cap, will he become less communal or more secular? No... In fact if he wears one, then Seculars will say that he' s fooling the people...
Sachin=GOD Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 By wearing these caps' date=' one of which is worn by tribals in north east, a lot of whom are not hindus, he is not hoodwinking them. When he wears them, it is just a mark of respect and acceptance which he accords to the host community.[/quote'] array bhai that is what I am saying - he can wear all these caps but not a skull cap.
Sachin=GOD Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 I agree with Modi's stand... By just wearing Skull Cap' date= will he become less communal or more secular? No... In fact if he wears one, then Seculars will say that he' s fooling the people... Of course he won't become less communal etc but if he can wear so many other kinds of caps then whats the big deal in wearing a skull cap :dontknow:
asterix Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Of course he won't become less communal etc but if he can wear so many other kinds of caps then whats the big deal in wearing a skull cap :dontknow: I think it's because he thinks he'll be damned either way... Would you change your perception towards him, if he wears a skull cap? He feels that he is destined to be demonised, whatever he does.. I think he'll go out of the way to do something better for the community, if he becomes PM,and then say that look actions speaks rather than tokenism...
ravishingravi Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Of course he won't become less communal etc but if he can wear so many other kinds of caps then whats the big deal in wearing a skull cap :dontknow: If he doesn't want to, then he doesn't want to. Why should that be a benchmark for anything ? In fact the part that follows gives perfect justification. Not that it is required. Actually the more pertinent question is would this question have come up if he did not wear Pagdi and wore skull cap. Another question would have come. Is he now appeasing to Muslims to make up for past deeds. People who want to pull him down will do so whatever he does.
Sachin=GOD Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 I think it's because he thinks he'll be damned either way... Would you change your perception towards him' date= if he wears a skull cap? He feels that he is destined to be demonised, whatever he does.. I think he'll go out of the way to do something better for the community, if he becomes PM,and then say that look actions speaks rather than tokenism... not really. I was simply making a point that if he can wear so many other kinds of caps then why the problem with one particular kind. The kind of things he has done, he obviously will be demonized.
asterix Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 not really. I was simply making a point that if he can wear so many other kinds of caps then why the problem with one particular kind. Because by wearing other caps he won't get demonised either way... By wearing or not wearing a Skull cap, he wll get damned/demonised either way...
asterix Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 The kind of things he has done, he obviously will be demonized. And if he wears a Skull cap, he'll not be less demonised... Rather he'll be blamed for tokenism also, on top of being demonised... Hence his stand, IMO...
someone Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 A good interview by Modi. For starters, it wasn't the typical paid news or MSM interview where the anchor does talks about one single subject for the whole hour, only waiting and hoping for the subject to say his words. This was a all-round interview with various parts and questions, including those on which his rivals questioned him. And Modi answered them well and was very composed. Compare that to Kejriwal who was only whining during his interview. Or RaGa who has yet to appear in such tough and direct questionnaire.

someone Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 I guess you saw a different interview :giggle: I guess you have one rules/expectations for Modi while another set for the others. It's hopeless if you can't differentiate that.
Sachin=GOD Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 I guess you have one rules/expectations for Modi while another set for the others. It's hopeless if you can't differentiate that. how about you ask other ICFers as well - almost everyone (except the blind Modi Bhakts) agree that this "interview" was a farce.
randomGuy Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Vajpayee 2002 with Modi by his side - [ame]www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5W3RCpOGbQ[/ame]
Number Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 http://www.tehelka.com/heres-proof-that-gujarat-has-flourished-under-modi/ Here’s proof that Gujarat has flourished under Modi Although originally from Rediff but a very pro-Modi article appears in Tehelka. Very surprising and gives a clue that the wind is changing.
someone Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 how about you ask other ICFers as well - almost everyone (except the blind Modi Bhakts) agree that this "interview" was a farce. Well, that's expected from you. Unless Modi says something which you want to hear, the rest must is all false, paid and farce. A poor explanation from you. And unless you want to say all AAP Ki Adaalat is fixed, it just doesn't make any sense to call it fixed only because Modi was there. Would you call it fixed when Akilaash Yadav or Kejriwal was on it? Not to mention, those two actually weren't even able to answer questions properly but were whining instead. A very precise interview from Modi.:two_thumbs_up:
adi B Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Of course he won't become less communal etc but if he can wear so many other kinds of caps then whats the big deal in wearing a skull cap :dontknow: he wont wear the skullcap because that'll upset the rss and some core hindu groups.he aint gonna get the muslim votes anyway so why offend those voters or groups who'll vote for him. i agree with his notion though that wearing the skullcap just for appeasement is ridiculous and it wont make him more/less communal . talking about his yesterday's interview,it was clear that both modi and rajat made a settlement that he wont entertain questions related to 2002 riots (he got the clean chit anyway) and his marriage status. modi does give some witty answers just like the last time he came to aap ki adaalat where he was asked tough questions
randomGuy Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Adi B, did you know Gujarat didn't have a lokayukt for 8 years under Modi rule? Last year, he further weakened the law such that now, the lokayukt has to take CM's permission before investigation.

randomGuy Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 yes i know.ur point? the question was for my own understanding. that how much the people who are supporting modi here are aware abt him.
bulbul Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 the question was for my own understanding. that how much the people who are supporting modi here are aware abt him. So what if Lokayukth is not there? even India doesn't have a common Lokpal. Lokpal bill only wont reduce corruption, need active participation from people as well.
