bulbul Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 NAMO could care less. I think you will see one massive PMO, regardless of who gets what. My preferences: Jaitley for Finance. Arun Shourie for Defence. Sushma Swaraj for External Affairs. And Rajnath for Home (minus the good parts). From where SHourie came into defence?? It's better to wait till thsi weekend..till now not a single ministry is able to predicted by media :cantstop:

External affairs might not be the worst option here though but totally would be the best desicion to give the other 2 portfolios to the 2 aruns :two_thumbs_up: Personally it would have been great if modi runs home with a remote control by having a yes man
surajmal Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 From where SHourie came into defence?? It's better to wait till thsi weekend..till now not a single ministry is able to predicted by media :cantstop: With MoS as Gen VK Singh. I have watched various shourie's speeches and interviews where he has talked about increasing privatization in defence and self sufficiency (indigenization). I think He and Modi will be on the same page.

Amit Shah is obviously the perfect choice for Home. But I think (as GB has also pointed out) because of his organizational capabilities, he will be making the rounds over the next 5 years for the various state elections. 2019 onwards though...:agree: (:antijinx:)

Any credible players ?
surajmal Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Are there any BJP allied leaders who are being considered for a central portfolio ? Any credible players ? no one knows. Although one guy I would love is JP Narayan of Lok Satta. He would perfect for pretty much any role. An ideal administrator IMO.
Sachin=GOD Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Are there any BJP allied leaders who are being considered for a central portfolio ? Any credible players ? Ramvilas paswan will get a portfolio. Athawale might also get one. Harsimrat Kaur Badal should also be considered (in whatever little I have seen of her in Lok Sabha she speaks sense). Shiv Sena and TDP should get 2 portfolios each I guess....
Muloghonto Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 What portfolio would Shiv Sena get ? I would love to see them far away from any social impact posting....their anti-muslim & pro-marathi stance has to be contained at the national level.

asterix Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 It'll be in BJPs interest if Shushma slowly gets sidelined... She's a Congress agent...she'll keep on undermining Modi... She's one of those leaders who are responsible of BJP losing for two terms...

surajmal Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 From Manohar Parrikar's interview: He seems like one of those that won't suffer fools. Would make an awesome second or third (depending on how you slot Amit Shah) in command to Namo, if they can find a suitable replacement in Goa.
