msb1991
I think B Kumar is also someone we can look at for a Test spot. 116 First Class wickets at the age of 21 is a fine feat indeed, as is 9 FC fifties. India need to become a team that rewards success. Maybe we pick and choose within the successful but we cannot just pick young players based on talent. A true talent will be able to tear up First Class cricket. Link to comment

Chandan
DAY 2 Rutherford leads New Zealand A cricket against India New Zealand Cricket: (Oct. 4, 2012) - New Zealand A remain 355 runs behind India A at stumps on day two of the second Four-Day match at Bert Sutcliffe Oval in Lincoln. The home side are currently 198 for five in their pursuit of IndiaÃÔ first innings total of 554 for eight declared. Hamish Rutherford anchored New ZealandÃÔ reply, before he was disappointingly run-out on 99. New Zealand made a strong recovery after losing the early wicket of George Worker, as Tom Latham and Hamish Rutherford put on 83 for the second wicket. First match centurion Latham looked in good touch, but was out on 28 thanks to an inside edge onto the stumps off the bowling of Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Rutherford on the other hand was beginning to look comfortable and scoring at will. With just one run needed to bring up a well-deserved century, disaster struck. He was found short of his ground while attempting a run to the keeperÃÔ end, leaving New Zealand at 166 for four. Dean Brownlie and Reece Young dug their heels in and were nearing the end of the day when India made one final break through. Young feathered one from B Kumar and Naman Ojha behind the stumps did the rest. His dismissal for 22 marked the final act of the day and left New Zealand at 198 for five after 48.1 overs. Brothers Bhuvneshwar and Vinay Kumar were the pick of the Indian bowlers, finishing with two wickets apiece. Earlier, yesterdayÃÔ centurions Mandeep Singh and Ashok Menaria had continued where they left off and taken India to past the 450 mark in a partnership worth 318 runs. Menaria was eventually dismissed by Sam Wells for 173, while Singh fell to Nethula nine runs short of his double ton. A late flurry of boundaries from V Kumar capped if off for India as they declared for 554 after 118 overs. Kumar hit three sixes and five fours to finish unbeaten on 50. MCcricket
Can anyone justify with sound reason that VK, BK, Rituraj , Unadkat deserve a place in the A side, that means they are next in line for a test squad lol,Shami is the only decent bowler we have in that lineup, our batters did well to play against their bowlers are they are really NZ a bowlers, most of our bowlers are like Team D bowlers. Chandan
DAY 3 Batsmen dominate day three India A will go into the final day of the second Four-Day match against New Zealand A with a 249 run lead at Bert Sutcliffe Oval in Lincoln. Having resumed at 198 for five, New Zealand worked their way to 424 for seven before they declared after 100 overs. In reply India finished the day at 119 for two. Captain Abhinav Mukund (56*) and Anustup Majumdar (8*) currently occupy the crease for India, while Unmukt Chand (44) and Naman Ohja (8) are the two wickets to have fallen in the third innings. Earlier in the day Dean Brownlie and Luke Woodcock had put on a valuable partnership worth 107 for the sixth wicket. Both players brought up half-centuries as they took New Zealand past the 300 mark. Woodock went not long after though when he was caught on 58 off the bowling of Bhuvneshwar Kumar 72nd over. The introduction of Sam Wells didn't slow the home side down though, as the Otago based all-rounder went on the attack. Wells brought up his half century off 56 balls in an innings which included three sixes. However, the day will be remembered for a hard fought century from Brownlie, who played patiently to bring up triple figures off 193 balls. Brownlie eventually fell for 106 in the 97th over, but had successfully taken New Zealand past 400. Wells continued to find the boundary, but was stopped on 69 as his side declared at tea. B Kumar finished the best of the Indian bowlers with figures of three for 94 from 26 overs, while Suryakumar Yadav had a big impact in his four overs with the wicket of Brownlie.
