In Ranji Trophy you don't meet elite group at any point if i am right. You play against teams like Tripura' date=' Goa, Vidharba..[/quote'] QF, SF, Final...plate teams which qualify for knockouts play against Elite teams.

Some real horror shows on this tour. But some positives also found in the negatives are Mukund, Dhawan and Rahul Sharma. There might have been excuses for batsmen in the first two games, but ridiculous to miss out on a flat track in the third game which is bread and butter for these guys. Bloody WIndie's England tour reject Kieran Powell (FC avr 34, Test avr 20, ODI avr 8:hehe:) came in and smacked 195 runs on this patta! Either our batting has issues or bowlers not upto it or worse everything just not good enough.

Kieran Powell is not tour reject. He played all 3 tests. He does not play ODIs. He is a talent batsmen if you had watched him in U19 WC 2008. He is taking time to settle but there is no distinct technical problem in his batting like Mukund has. He will be one good bat for WI.

Did you even watch the Test series? Powell never knew where his off-stump was. He his had a miserable run of 6 games starting from the Australia series. I didn't watch the U19 WC 2008, but I am sure there have been plenty of talented batsmen on show in past U19 WCs. But U19 WC and international cricket are miles apart in quality.. And he surely didn't take time in settling and spanking our bowling in his first game back in West Indies. There are some serious issues with our back-up bowling and batting.

He is an attacking batsman but was trying to play conventionally which lead to his downfall. Look at here, he was aggressive. Sehwag cannot play like Dravid. IMO, he is even more talented than Chhota Bravo. He will come good as he becomes confident.
