My bowling was all over the place but what most surprised me was how poor my stamina was, even despite doing a fair bit of cardio. So I think that will be the main hurdle for Yuvi.

BTW if u dont mind my asking, how long did it take for you to get back to your original stamima levels? I think Yuvi will have to do a lot of physical training for his stamina and nets for his cricketing skills. IMO Yuvi should first play a few domestic matches. We have to think long term. He should not be rushed for the T20 WC.

I never had any doubt that Yuvraj would be fighting fit no more than one year after his treatment finished. This is only if he trains hard though.

Should be picked and tried out. See how he goes, wouldn't expect him to return to his best in first few games though.

The term 'match-winner' is thrown around wrongly to justify inconsistent players but Yuvraj really does win matches by himself with his excellent play of spin and ability to score quickly.
Tendulkar_Bhai Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 UV will have the best support and advice around him plus i hear he already has started doing light training. His cancer didnt seem to be life threatening and i am sure he will be back to how he was and get his strength back, he is a fighter from Punjab not a grass eater from Gujarat. With Pathan firmly cementing his place at number 7 we can play 4 specialist bowlers and have pathan and uv filling the other overs.

Personally I wouldn't have picked him if he wasn't fit enough to play in the NZ series.
