It is funny that Tendulkar wants to rest for ODI series in Srilanka but was eager to play IPL, he did last time also he played IPL but skipped West Indies tour. But he went to play Asia Cup in search of his 100th ton. Cheeka and others should be ashamed for being held hostage by one man.

If newcomer does well then he would get his place cemented in team anyways like Kohli. Otherwise he has to make way for others.

why should a new comer gets only few matches / single series as a chance and give way to Sachin.. its not like Sachin is going to last forever but the newcomer may last for a decade.. first of all what purpose does Sachin playing in ODI serves to team [u can argue in tests they need a expereinced hand ,eventhough it doesnt matter in Indian pitches] .
