As expected, he will always go for runs. He is that kind of bowler. Best to play him in tests only.
No. Sreesanth is a poor Test bowler! Since his debut spurt, he has been one of the worst bowlers in the recent times of Indian Test cricket. http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/player/34274.html?class=1;spanmin1=01+Jan+2007;spanval1=span;template=results;type=bowling I often argue against arbitrarily cutting out good performances but that is not what I'm doing. I'm noting that for a long and consecutive period of time, he has been overall a poor bowler. I am not doing what some do and going "if you cut out these good performances, his record is poor". I am saying that Sreesanth produced a good 7 Tests and after that, he has produced 20 Tests which aggregate to an undeniably poor record. One can cry 'match-winner' all you want but you wouldn't select a 'match-winning' specialist batsman who averages 25 but can score that vital hundred so why must the exception be made for bowlers. Bowlers and batsmen can equally lose matches by not being consistent and this is something which people neglect in the case of Sreesanth.

^^Dont just go by averages if you are looking at seamers in India. We play mostly on dust bowls where its impossible for a seamer to pick wickets because the wickets are so slow you hardly get any bounce and the ball hardly carries to the keeper. Any swing or reverse swing can easily be tackled because batsmen have enough time to play it.

Why has he been worse outside India than in India, in the period then? Is it hard everywhere?

^^He has done well in South Africa and West Indies. Dont think he ever played in Australia or New Zealand. In England 2011 series, he was coming back from an injury and got selected after injury to Zaheer Khan. He is a genuine strike bowler in tests. Make no mistake about that.

He has done nothing after his first year in international cricket. He has only been in the news for poor disciplinary records and slap-gate. That has been his claim to fame in the last few years.

Shantakumaran Shreeshanth Is Awesome Just Some Times He Loses His Rhythm Otherwise Overall He Is A Decent Pace Bowler
From awesome to decent in one sentence. :cantstop: Capitalizing first letter of every word is poor form. And it's Sreesanth not Shreeshanth.

He does offer some qualities which other indian fast bowlers to not process. And no one is talking about playing him in the first 11, but rather he is a valuable option for Indian team. He can be the squad and then based on form/training, if a bowler does well, they should be playing in the 11.

I remember everything. I cannot forget it as I had a lot of expectations from him after SA tour but he turned out to be rubbish. RP Singh outbowled him by huge margin who himself blew hot and cold throughout the tour. Sreesanth was utter rubbish in one of the test where he had lost it completely, runup, rhythm, action was bowling huge no balls and beamer.
