Ravikant Singh bowls around 135 consistently. He's only 18.
he was bowling in the mid 120s mate not 135
Ravikant Singh has got 9 wkts in 3 matches at an avg of 9.89. He's the fastest of our seamers.Bowls in mid 130s.Good prospect but have to get stronger.Hopefully he'll add 7-8ks of pace in his tweties.
The wickets he took were really really good balls but if he doesn't quicken up to early 130s or in the mid 130s he wont get a real look in by the selectors

I think their opening bowlers have more potential than our guys, that left armer bowled with lot of pace, they both are so tall their both opening bowlers. BTW what kind of shot was that from Chand.
it was a shot out of frustration he hadn't scored anything for 6 balls and he got a wide one so he slashed at it He's prone to that and that's something he has to kick out of his game Chand is the only player selected for the India A from the current batch of U19 players hopefully next squad will include Harmeet Singh, Baba at least it might be too early for Zol And if Ravikanth starts bowling in early 130-mid 130s then he should also get a look in after the India A tour

Woaah! Just noticed that had the game been tied Pakistan would've progressed due to better group stage results.
But commentators were saying that there will be super over

Nope super over is purely a T20 concept.
It's in the rules in this u-19 tourney. In case of ties or washouts one over super over will be played. If conditions don't allow super over to be completed then the team with better Group record will progress.

:omg: Just checked it and you are right .. ICC is really making cricket go down to drains by introducing these new rules

Please link me to these rules! Could the super over have been played had it been a tie?

21.10.2 Quarter Final If a quarter-final is tied, the teams shall compete in a one over per side eliminator to determine which team progresses to the semi-final. If following a tie, weather conditions prevent the one over per side eliminator from being completed, or if the match is a no result, then the team that finished in the higher position in the Group stage shall proceed to the semi-finals.

Congratulations India u-19!!! On sneaking through to semis of the u-19 WC by knocking Pakis out of the tourney :yay: Though we made a meal out of a small target Harmeet & Sharma held on to their nerves to take India past the target. Hopefully with nerves out of the way and pressure unlikely to be the same in the remaining games Indian colts can play to their full potential and hopefully get to the finals and win the tourney.

By the way it's fun to watch Pak reaction to the loss as a supposedly "minnow", "undeserving", "trundling" and "lucky" Indian team was able to get past the "better", "deserving", "unlucky" and "humble" Paki team on Eid :giggle:

Vibhash, what about my question? Were the conditions good enough to play a 1-over eliminator or would it be Pakistan progressing due to a better group position standing?
