G_B_ Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 based on slickrs reactions i am guessing he has not read the book got to admit though, i did not think much about the nudity when i read the books. However it seems HBO has made it a point to show nudity. I dont mind that on display in the past episode however. the perfect body i would say
Sooda Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Never start a monologue in the middle of a fight. GRRM keeps ****ing killing every character as soon as you start getting fond of them:(( barring geoffery It's a cheap trick to build up characters and tear them down in an instant for shock value. It right up there with the semi porn scenes. It is manipulative. You knew something would happen as Oberyn set off into that Monologue, Oberyn winning would be too good to be true. At least he pushed The Mountain hard, I did not expect an Oberyn win... this duel lives up to my very high expectations. Just wish it was longer. Hope The Mountain is immobilised at least, forever. Honestly do the 'good guys' get any change in this show. That motha****a Ramsey Snow. God I hope he has his guts ripped from him by Theons sister.

Rotating Potato Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 So can someone really smash people's skull with their bare hands?

hhunaeh Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Don't agree. Every single killing had a massive impact on the story line all across the kingdom. So does this one. What was the need for building up the side character oberyn if all he had in store was getting squished like a bug. His family believed the lannisters killed their girl before oberyn and even after his killing the reality is the same. They are a little angrier now and that's it. Even the mountain is there only for effect, he doesn't add anything major to the plot.

Even the mountain is there only for effect, he doesn't add anything major to the plot. Read the events that occurred during Robert's Rebellion. The House Martell don't just merely 'believe' but they KNOW what happened to Prince Oberyn's sister, Elia. The orders were given by Tywin Lannister. Now if that spills out, then the Lannister's alliance with Dorn will be in jeopardy which will profit Stannis and weaken the Lannister's firm in Westeros. Not every character, in every series adds a major plot the storyline. If every single one is a POV character then what's the point of the series? The series haven't shown us most of the major events. They were only narrated to us by different characters. They could have started the series with Rhaegar's battle with Robert, Mad King's murder, Lyana Stark's death. A big chunk is missing from the series, but they are not untold. Still would have been nice to watch it, rather than just hearing it from random people. Now, the Mountan confessed that he killed, raped and murdered Elia Martell before he died. The consequences of this confession will be there to see in the next episode, which I did read about out of curiosity and it turns out to be pretty awesome. Wonder how many more episodes remain.
sachin34357 Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 only 2 more episodes left, I wonder how this series will end. surely something big will happen to one of the main characters other than tyrion. i think something will happen to cersie
yoda Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Loving every episode. Some unexpected twists and turns in episode 8, some predictable.

I guess getting us invested in the character was the point, I was really looking forward to this episode as I had grown to like Oberyn and was hoping he'd at least put up a fight against the mountain, of course he died a horrible death, but the fact that he had him up pleased me no end. Also is the Mountain actually dead, or does he die from his wounds? I hope so
Sooda Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 That's Ramsey Bolton to you now B-> Indeed, still a *****. But that scene between him and his dead was kinda nice. Hope youre well Gambo bhai

Rotating Potato Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014  Naaah. . Don't worry. Just trolling.
PBN Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Spoilers from last episode. :hysterical::hysterical: btw, why do we need to put spoilers for episodes that have already been aired. imo, should only need spoilers for future episodes or events. anyhow, that was brilliant rant :hatsoff:

I usually don't watch until a season is complete too, but couldn't control my self this time after 5 episodes. :--D
