The society wasn't going to accept them. He had a couple of choices. He would have just freed them and that's it. But no, just think about what would those women do if they weren't accepted in the society? Commit suicide? Prostitution? But he chose to have a relationship with each and every one of them. You're free to assume whatever you want to but at least make sure you do some proper research instead of making assumptions based on what you hear. That's exactly what's wrong with today's generation. No one wants to go and find out for themselves. I remember Aamir Khan once saying that his ultimate dream is to make a trilogy on what is the ultimate work of literature (not debating how much of it is true and how much fiction), the Mahabharata . He said it's highly challenging to do jutulice with the depth of tale and that just the research wil alone take five years.

We were always a weak species. We were only strong when we had a true strength of our culture,religion etc from the upanishads, vedas. as long as we had these thoughts we had a reason to live. A reason to find out the purpose of life rather than the usual sex, food, and whatever else today's generations assume to be the purpose of life. I'm still waiting for this thread to be closed. I can assure you it was something regarding Islam, this thread would have been closed by now. But most of us here are making assumptions from watching the serial on tv and a few wikipedia searches.

My naani told me that Krishna was so popular with women that women would pray that he would fight their king ,defeat him and take them as his wife.I have no idea if there is any truth to that but he must be really good to them...otherwise he wouldn't be so popular.Must be the heartthrob of that time.

He gave a lecture in the battlefield but couldn't convince his own janta to accept these women ? I didnt make assumption, I had heard he had more than 1000 wives, how does it matter if the Number was 900 or 1600 ? Why not accept that it was a different society where multiple spouses were allowed.
