Old guy Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 In the last 50 years, we have had three bowlers - Kapil, Srinath and Zaheer. So it's a given thing that most Indian bowlers would be ordinary only. Hope things change in the future, but it's not gonna change overnight. What is more disappointing is the lack of a threatening spinner in the horizon. when were we no 1 before man ? :) i think there is no reason why we cant produce good bowlers in this era we did saw potential form yadav in perth he bowled so well now i cant think of one reason of him getting dropped after 2 games.. not one..

He has not had a good series overall and his 140kph+ deliveries were either on holiday or completely ineffective. But right now the bowling situation is dire, and i honestly side with selectors and understand their conundrum.

He was carted by Zimbabwe, was taken to cleaners by Bangbros and today even Malinga bullied him. He's not national level, forget intl or world class level. He's an embarrassment and shouldn't be anywhere near the team. Even Vinay Kumar is better than Dinda. Vinay can at least bowl a decent first spell and it's his deat bowling which is the problem. Dinda was picked on his recent India A exploits in West Indies, which btw many of us praised him for. So selectors (just like many of us) thought he deserved a chance at international level. He got given the opportunity and failed miserably. Now they will turn to tried and trusted, Vinay, Nehra, Irfan and Praveen, who are equally inept at death bowling. Though Irfan has justified his selection through the series, with exceptional returns.

LET SELECTORS AND TEAM MANAGEMENT GIVE Abu Nechim, Pawan Suyal, Anwar and Shami, Awana a chance, ALSO LET Umesh, Aaron take lead as aggressive bowlers who can attack the batters in the middle overs, also let VRV, Tyagi be tested on A tours and see where they are at.
