Actually my point was that Ludhiana should first build a cricket stadium and expand its infrastructure. The Olympics are far fetched. A metro is proposed which is a good start. Btw, with regards to airport, you know there is the Sahnewal Airport right? However, it needs major upgrades, and better infrastructure and connectivity to other major destinations in India. There is also another airport proposed in the Doaba region. As of now, my choice in India would be Dilli. It has already hosted the CWG games.

Then lets have the Olympics in Charanpur from Swades. There's a lake for the swimming, the farms nearby for running etc, the mud for wrestling, excellent accomodation facilities @ Kaveri Amma's place, great food available courtesy Mela Ram, great transportation via Mohan's caravan & well connected to the rest of the world via trunk line & post.

Chandigarh, its a planned city at foothills of Himalayas, where Police is so strict that even Superstars like Yuvi, Harby cant evade rules, where city roads are wider than so called expressways in other parts of India, where you have dedicated lane for Rickshaws etc. Girls are very good looking. Majority of residents are highly educated, mostly retired Army men. It has highest HDI in India. So my vote goes to Chandigarh+Mohali+Panchkula Tricity. I have been to Canada, and Chandigarh does remind me of some parts of Calgary. Only other city in South Asia which can rival CHD in terms of infrastructure and planning is Islamabad.

And as Qatar is already hosting the 2022WC, there is no way another Malayali state, i.e Kerala can get to host the WC till at least 2062.

Chandigarh lol, like 10 people live there, sprang up a few years ago, no history or tradition like the Ludhiana. Any "city" below 1.5 million population shouldn't even be considered :orderorder: Ludhiana is where it's at Sir I have visited your city once, quoting my previous post - North Indian summers are cruel, everyone on this forum blame Chennai but according to me North India is hottest place I have ever been to! Our car compressor failed in Punjab heat wave 2 years ago in some town sounding like Mogadishu (you guys name your towns after Somalian towns? ) Even though our original route was Jaipur-Batindah-Mogadishu-Jollander we had to bring car to Lodhiana for AC repair, nearest service station.
