He didn't say that YEARS ago. I posted an article dated 23 January 2012. Also, he prefers batting in the middle order. I am trying to get hold of a quote which he made where he thinks he would be more effective when the ball is not new.

yeah Ive been saying that for sometime and I wish VVSL had retired after Aus tour so we could play that way now. Still does not answer the question of who should at at 3 though- not sure if it can be Kohli... Pujara maybe...

Gambhir Rahane Tendulkar Pujara Kohli Sehwag Dhoni woud be my batting order. I somehow believe that Tendulkar has to take more responsibility.

Get your facts right. No.3 is the most important position in Test cricket and it obviously holds more responsibility but I wouldn't want Sachin at No.3.

Nah, Sehwag wont be effective at no.6 in fact I don't think he should be batting any lower than top 4. His gameplay style suits when he has batters around him, I don't think he can have same impact batting with lower order/tail enders.

Shewag is a middle order batsman ,He handles spin well and given our bare middle order its will be good if he comes down the order it will make him more responsible.
