i like to know for the nonsubcontinental teams which is the most difficult subcontinental places to tour.i know india have a gem of a record at home but srilanka and pakistan are also succesful in giving nightmares to nonsubcontinental teams in their respective homes.today i saw a poll during match-is india the most difficult places to tour for away teams.?72 percent of viewers said yes but i think if u ask this question to foreign teams most of them will say srilanka amonst the subcontinental places is the most difficult to tour.

And it was conquered thanks to Shashank Manohar and Maharashtra cricket association who wanted to take revenge for losing BCCI elections against Dalmiya/Ganguly :(( These shameless phuckers had no qualms about jeopardising India's stellar record just to score some cheap brownie points against each other. If not for that fiasco at Nagpur where we saw the sight of a green-top in India first time in our history, Aussies would still be trying to conquer the final frontier

Btw, India still has a stellar record against Aussies at home. Just 2 series wins by the Australians. In 2010, they couldn't even win a single game on that tour - first time it has ever happened.

Agreed. I was actually surprised he didn't play. Ganguly was a fighter and never backed away from a fight. I expected him to play even if he had lost. I suspect there was more to it than Ganguly deciding to sit out. IMO Dalmiya may have asked Ganguly to sit out for the game in a political tit for tat to put pressure right back on Pawar and Shashank Manohar lobby. No matter what, it's a shame we have administrators and people running cricket who wouldn't hesitate for a second to use cricket as a bargaining chip in their political grandstanding and didn't give two hoots in losing us a home series. Sad part is Pawar actually headed BCCI and is heading ICC :facepalm:

I guess Sri Lanka is more difficult place to tour for any visiting team from among the four SC countries but because they dont have any decent bowler in their lineup visiting teams dont feel the pressure. When Murali was there alongwith vass sri lanka used to be very hard to beat in their home. Those slow and low turners are really depressing for any team and even India suffering during the past decade is symbol of that. My post actually refers to tests, so please dont start saying India beat SRL hands down last 3 occasions in ODIs.. It doesnot matter .. we still dont have a Test Series win there for a long time.

Pakistan easily. In India visiting teams face tough pitches, spinners on spinning tracks and Indian batsmen who are very good in home conditions. In Pakistan players come under machine gun fire.
