For being fans of this team' date=' and hoping we can expect "consistency", *we* are idiots. yes.[/quote'] Why is F'leg so frustrated with our team ? we win some , we lose some .. thats the way the world works.. P.S - Maybe it should be , " we win some , we lose a lot .. thats the way the indian team works."

Above is the reason for frustration. Forget great consistency, any "semblance" of consistency? Please? We are consistently losing (more often than not), so maybe there is consistency! And note: It is not winning or losing, I can tolerate losing - but show some fight. Not pathetic batting like today.

Nowadays' date=' if Tendulkar or Yuvraj don't click we are losing the match. So, to win the matches we need these two to click. Today Yuvraj got a duck. That was the other 50% of the reason why we lost. The first 50% belongs to Dravid's captaincy brainwave about bowling first on a patta wicket.[/quote'] RD's deczn maybe wrong, but we as a team need to learn to win even while chasing (Eng could have won toss and batted first, so we need to win no matter)

fineleg' date=' you seem to be a mistress of despair and doom. We won the test series and beat RSA! There are another 6 ODIs to go. With 'fans' like you, who needs enemies.[/quote'] Ah, how perceptive of you. fineleg is the condensation of all misery in the world. But he nears the world's misery so that we may be free of its burden. He (she/it - never could figure out :) ) will moan and groan until we win, then will be happy for a minute and then find yet more faults. But consider him a necessary Yang to the Yin that is the eternal hope the rest of the fans have on the team .

BTW if you haven't gotten used to losing in ODIs, you folks better get used to. It has nothing with the toss or anything. This team struggles in ODIs and don't quite know how to win the ODIs. Also India isn't a good fit ODI unit in terms of fielding and running between the wicket that is so crucial in ODIs. At the top of the order although you have two quality batters it won't help if one of them don't use the powerplay well. Tendulkar timed a lot of shots but found the fielder. That said the top order should go over the top in the first few overs. You've seen the likes of Gayle and Jayasuriya blow England away. Now we have players that time the ball and only hit on the ground. This type of cricket does not hurt England much. Irrespective you need explosive start at the top of the order and that is not going to happen in this ODI series for sure.
