Maybe the European Association also helped in this rapid speed of innovation. Maybe not suitable for Indian roads as of now but might work very well in European countries. Maruti 800 was not exactly known for it's safety, it revolutionized the car market in India.

How many people from India are trying to do something new worthwhile that we can indulge in such scorn?It is an idea and they are trying to do something in their own small way to help with the massive shortage of enery that is facing us in future. And what is wrong with the Nano? It is a wonderful little car. I got one recently and it is great value for money.Needs hardly any space for parking and since it doesn't cost much I don't have to worry about scratching it or taking it into water logged roads.Just because it is a product made in India...people like you do not value it. Had the Japanese come out with the same innovation...the response would have been different.

You have to consider the target market for which it is built. - Its for the middle and lower middle class who own their first four wheeler and dont use existing small cars as the benchmark

I exchanged my old santro for the sunshine yellow nano that I always wanted because it is so cute.It is more comfortable to drive than I expected.The only problem is that husband finds it too convenient for running around so he usually reaches for the keys first.
