Sehwag1830 Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 If we get spinning tracks, i think Harbhajan can be more than effective fifth bowler. And Harbhajan + Ashwin can be good 7th batsmen in our team. I still have some faith in Harbhajan batting ability in tests.

Which Indian opener is better than Sehwag in domestic cricket ? We don't have any decent opener period. Now stop derailing my thread.

We can't play 5 bowlers because the team is in transition in batting. We didn't win tests with that experiment even when we had in form Sehwag, SRT and Dravid in the side. Besides Dhoni doesn't look like he will sacrifice an extra bat like his favored Raina for an extra bowler. We don't even have decent fit 4 bowlers, so lets not stretch this fantasy too far. I'd rather a leg spinner was chosen for any extra slot for variety than flog a dead horse with an old whip.

Like Dravid returning to form almost did (but no one for support). If a player has potential and has delivered in the past you have to be patient when they re out of form. Look at Virus record.
