master22 Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 inzy avgs 36 away compared to dravid's 41. but inzy was a monster in pakistani/middle eastern pitches. I dont think away stats in ODI's mean much.Even Ganguly had an away avg of just 36.
deathmonger Posted September 15, 2012 Author Posted September 15, 2012 some more fun ganguly - 65% wkts in won matches more than akram, akhtar etc. ganguly - what a phaaast bowler irfan pathan - 66 % wkts in won matches again more than akram akhtar etc :hysterical:
deathmonger Posted September 15, 2012 Author Posted September 15, 2012 at least 4000 runs in wins was the filter i used. well i used a different filter :giggle: you guys use filters to your own advantage for useless stats, i changed the filter. and even going by your 4000 runs filter yuvraj comes out as better. oh wait actually he is better. he doesn't disappear in wc.
deathmonger Posted September 15, 2012 Author Posted September 15, 2012 I dont think away stats in ODI's mean much.Even Ganguly had an away avg of just 36. it's an overall away avg. that away avg by inzy also includes india where he avgs 60+. but in sa, nz, oz, eng he avgs 20 something whereas ganguly does not. ganguly is consistently decent everywhere whereas inzy is good in india/pakistan/sharjah and crap outside.
velu Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 at least 4000 runs in wins was the filter i used. still that stat is useless dude.. i bet lara has scores less % of runs in their runs than inzi
Sooda Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 On a side note If one were to select a Indo Pak dream team both would feature at 4 and 5 Id say, would make for some deft middle overs accumulation
panther Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 still that stat is useless dude.. i bet lara has scores less % of runs in their runs than inzi same
deathmonger Posted September 15, 2012 Author Posted September 15, 2012 still that stat is useless dude.. i bet lara has scores less % of runs in their runs than inzi using that stat yuvi is better than inzi. although by the end of his career yuvi will be rated higher than inzy. shows up at world cups. 2003: 34.28 2007: 45.33 2011: 90.50
panther Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 some more fun ganguly - 65% wkts in won matches more than akram, akhtar etc. ganguly - what a phaaast bowler irfan pathan - 66 % wkts in won matches again more than akram akhtar etc :hysterical: this stat only works for batsman separates those who played for stats and those who were match winners.
deathmonger Posted September 15, 2012 Author Posted September 15, 2012 oh and you know who is better than inzy with the 4000 run filter? a man with 70% runs in wins (which is obv as whenever he scores big there is no chance of losing) panther's favourite player
panther Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 batsman of 2000 onwards I will take away 5% for the bowlers they faced and pitches getting flatter. batsman of 80s and 90s i would add 5%. batsman from 2007 onwards i would take away 10%.
deathmonger Posted September 15, 2012 Author Posted September 15, 2012 batsman of 2000 onwards I will take away 5% for the bowlers they faced and pitches getting flatter. batsman of 80s and 90s i would add 5%. lol changing stats on the fly. if this famous runs in winning percentage criteria is used you know who is a better test batsman than younis khan? both him and younis play in the 2000 isn't it?
deathmonger Posted September 15, 2012 Author Posted September 15, 2012 batsman of 2000 onwards I will take away 5% for the bowlers they faced and pitches getting flatter. batsman of 80s and 90s i would add 5%. batsman from 2007 onwards i would take away 10%. same thing should be down for bowlers. akhtar, wasim get penalties. pathan who has better wkt win % gets benefit and gets more better.
SLICKR392 Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Dravid any day because he kept wickets aswell and was consistent with his runs. By the end of his career he was a good finisher.
panther Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 same thing should be down for bowlers. akhtar, wasim get penalties. pathan who has better wkt win % gets benefit and gets more better. better batsman in there era so it equals flatter pitches in this era.
deathmonger Posted September 15, 2012 Author Posted September 15, 2012 inzi> yuvi but but according to your system of 4000 runs minimum most runs scored in wins percentage blah blah blah... arbitrary system yuvi beats inzy.
panther Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 lol changing stats on the fly. if this famous runs in winning percentage criteria is used you know who is a better test batsman than younis khan? both him and younis play in the 2000 isn't it? needs at least 2000 runs in wins and let there career finish first.
deathmonger Posted September 15, 2012 Author Posted September 15, 2012 better batsman in there era so it equals flatter pitches in this era. how so better batsmen in their era? all the 50 avging behemoths are in this era.
panther Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 but but according to your system of 4000 runs minimum most runs scored in wins percentage blah blah blah... arbitrary system yuvi beats inzy. take away 7.5% from yuvi add 2.5% to inzi.
