US Election Debate

This is what I think of each (without google). What is socialism? Europe :giggle: What is communism? Totalitarian/Fascist :finger: What is capitalism? Free Market/Demand-Supply :two_thumbs_up:
No wonder why you accuse Obama of being a socialist. Socialism : The government controls the means of production and distribution of production not the product itself Communism: The government controls the means, distribution and the product itself Capitalism: The government does not control any of these. There is no TRUE capitalist country in the world (the closest is Somalia, I am sure you dont want to be like that). Most countries including the US are partly socialist, example: will the US govt give control over producing nuclear weapons to the private sector? No, then they are socialist etc. Now can you tell me which policy positions that Obama does is wrong and socialist and also tell me how Romney will make everything better?

If Romney wins, the nation's going to fall off the cliff. Think about it, the only reason why Obama supposedly has bad record is mainly because we've had a congress that didn't do 0% of the work they were supposed to for two years. If Obama loses, it will mean that all opposition parties will create a "dead congress" for the years to come.

Questions 1. Which president will be better for India? 2. Which president will be better in tackling terrorism (;Pakistan)? Imo, somehow I feel Romney will be the better one at least in terms of foreign policy as he has more stronger views.
Obama talks tuff on outsourcing to India but he still hasn't closed that mythical tax break for companies that ship jobs to India yet. In fact the democrats have been talking about closing it for 8 years now yet no progress. IMO both would probably be the same for India. But Obama was foolish for telling India to pass economic reforms without knowing it would give ammo to the populist Nationalist in india that opposed them. But maybe romney would make a similiar mistake who knows.

Traditionally republicans have been better for India, also Republicans prior to GW Bush were good in foreign policy. WRT Romney have no idea, since he has not yet delivered concrete plans.

/conzzvative mode off 1) A stronger US economy is better for India & the world, so it depends on whether you lean left/right to answer that. 2) The current President has cracked down on terror in Af-Pak as well as Africa. Although if Romney keeps troops in Afghanistan, its bad for them but good for us in the sense that it keeps more jihadis away from us.

I am starting to lean towards romney for the economy's sake now but then there is no "magic wand" to fix it and the economy is getting better now anyway. I don't think the presidnet could do much about the economy. The market will eventually come to equilibrium on it's own.

TBF Romney isnt as bad as his flip flops make him out to be. He is probably as close to the center as Obama is. Obamacare was fashioned out of his healthcare plan. The problem is that to win over the conservative support base, one has to be as close to batshit insane as humany possible, which makes him change his position every other day to gain the support of some or the other group. Just look at the serious nominees the republicans put out - Michelle "pray away the gay" Bachmann, Newt Gingritch, Rick Santorum and their kind. The only sane one in the fray is Ron Paul and even he has made some impractical suggestions.
