God knows we need someone to teach our trundlers to bowl.
great bowler doesnt mean great bowling coach.I'd have Ian Pont as bowling coach.currently with Haryana, where Mohit Sharma n Harshal Patel was doing well

We have a habit of directly correlating the success/failure of the team with the present coach. It is a bit like how Lalu Yadav is credited for the success of Indian Railways...overrated. This team needed a purge regardless of who is the coach..old legends were past their prime, semi old players were resting on their laurels, new bowlers and batsmen were still finding their feet..Fletcher or no Fletcher, results would not have been much different.

Duncan fletcher needs to go there are so many things wrong with this team that it it difficult to list them all but none of them will be changed until this despicable creature is removed from the top,how low do we have to fall till this guy is fired? how many more indignities do we have to endure?

While I don't care whether Fletcher goes or not I think it's more important for the BCCI to reveal publicly exactly what powers are given to the coach of India. Because if selectors are picking the team, but are influenced by the BCCI executives, then a coach's impact is limited. Before they pick another coach to blame maybe they should be clear on that. If they want the coach to be a technical assistant and nothing more, then pick 4 specialist coaches (batting, pace bowling, spin bowling and fielding) and have a team manager coordinating training sessions.
